Wat’s Carbon Water-N-Stuff Thread - Concepts In Iron And Wood!!!

The follower's I'm giving a shot (pun intended) are Wilson Combat and Tripp Research. Wilson has a long history of 1911 stuff so I'm pretty sure they're going to work as advertised. Tripp is a new kid on the block but they're coming in at entry level pricing so I'll see how they work.

In the unthinkable, inscrutable, ordinary nature of reality there is no difference between freedom and bondage. No matter what arises, when you perceive your original nature, the joy arises automatically--and what joy!

~ Shabkar

Buddha said:

You are not what you say, but what you do.

A man is not wise because he speaks well; but if he has peace, love, and courage, then he is truly wise.

A dog is not good because it barks well. A man is not good because he speaks well.

A path is only a path, and there is no affront, to oneself or to others, in dropping it if that is what your heart tells you . . . Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary. Then ask yourself alone, one question . . . Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't it is of no use.

Only mags I run are Wilson Combat.

I have some Ed Brown mags.

Wilsons might have too much combat in them.

"Combat" is the old fashioned way of being "tactical" and we all know that's automatically pricey.

I've tried others, Wilson is the only mag that runs consistently for me.

I’ve had good luck with 1911 mags in general. I have used some Wilson’s and some Springfields.

Maybe I haven’t shot enough rounds.

Careful, you could end up bloody and hurting if that tack objects to your tickle.

I hate to think of how many unnecessary punctures I have endured, all accidentally.

There was that 16 penny finish nail that went through my left foot. It was more shocking than painful.

Still have two eyes and 10 digits. Power tool safety is just like firearms safety.

If you want 8mm ammo cheap, there is a bit left of some Greek stuff. Berdan, corrosive, but there you have it. Two bits a round.

The aught six I have seen is Korean. Same thing. Well, it might be Boxer-n-brass, but it's corrosive, and that shit is a pain to clean well.

I'm downsizing the 8mm and 7.62x54R shooting stock. The Mausers will get rechambered in something sensible, and the Russian shit I have will tide me over until the revolution comes.

It is easier to meditate than to actually do something for others. I feel that merely to meditate on compassion is to take the passive option. Our meditation should form the basis for action, for seizing the opportunity to do something.

~ His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Perhaps it is fear itself that makes me think that if I keep shoving information, content and new words into my head, I can outrun it. Maybe you have your own techniques for this– doom-scrolling, or a social calendar that’s always over full or shopping for things you don't need with money you don't have.

Wat did more before 10 o’clock Monday morning then our little lefty leaners will get accomplished by Saturday afternoon quitting time.

Getting shit done rolls like that.

Not to do any evil, To cultivate good, To purify one's mind--This is the advice of the Buddhas.

~ Dhammapada

If you find a wise critic to point out your faults, follow him for you will be guided to the hidden treasure...

~ Buddha

Worrying about something that may never happen is like paying interest on money you may never borrow.

Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.

~ Mother Theresa

Well, once again, Wat has awakened without having been killed during the night by renegade house pets or by miscreant firearms. We continue to compile evidence and to consider the facts, but no answers are forthcoming - yet.

Was a wonderful cordite morning this morning. Was helping a friend zero in a couple of his rifles. Planned on putting those new followers to the test but the fucking gnats got too irritating.
