Workplace Loyalty is Dead

I have spent a lifetime standing on my own 2 feet and making my own decisions instead of relying on the welfare and sympathy of others.

The lessons I've learned along the way have been harsh but I survived them without needing to curl into a little ball and cry like most liberals.

You would do well to wipe your tears and start on the same path.
No, thank you.
You obviously don't understand what a community of solidarity is. Ideally, insurance is exactly that. In civilisation, insurance companies are strictly regulated by law to provide exactly that.
It's nice that you're standing on your own two feet. Let's see how well you do when some drunken arsehole knocks you down at the next junction and then commits a hit and run. Nobody there to sue.
Too bad you're stuck with the 1.5 million in hospital costs, and that doesn't include the rehab you need for your shattered knees.
It's a shame that you're not a member of a solidarity community made up of so many people that it only costs a few dollars each to help you. An amount that everyone is happy to pay because they know they will be helped, in case they need it.

I'm sure you feel that way. Good luck with your socialism but please understand that few actually agree with you about it.

BTW, if you're at risk of being harmed by a "drunken arsehole" you either need to move somewhere less risky, or get new friends/domestic partners.

Yes, yes, the strong is most powerful alone.
But we all know how that turned out. OK, all of us who didn't go to school in the US and therefore learnt a bit more than memorising forty-four presidents (and a twat).
For you, if you didn't read to the end, Larsen dies and Hump gets the fuck of his life from Maude. OK, I made that last one up.

Americans pay more for health care than countries with socialized medicine. We get worse results.

We have the best paid CEO's in the world. They treat us like disposable office furniture.

You had the EXACT same opportunities I had when we were both young. You chose poorly and now you're trying to blame everyone else for the consequences of those poor choices instead of where the blame really lies. On yourself.

I’m doing well and have decent private coverage but a lot of other Americans aren’t.

You consider everyone who falls through the cracks to be losers simply because they made bad choices?

My foster daughter had a crackhead for a bio- mom. Other than getting appendicitis soon after switching jobs she’s doing pretty well.

I'm sure you feel secure in your deep knowledge that the world doesn't spin the way science tells us it does merely because your inclusiveness! says otherwise.

Potato, potato.
Every time, on every discussion you don't get the point you distract with something completely unrelated.
That's really boring.
Babble whatever you want, I think everyone knows it's baseless and irrelevant.
And I promise not to tell science you tried to make a point abusing it.

You don't HAVE a point. What you have is a brainless drama in which you deign to show up here, spew your thoughtless drivel, then insult everyone and anyone like there's no tomorrow in an effort to give meaning to your otherwise meaningless existence.

You'd do better to stay in the playground where you can be as vapid as you please and still get the attention you desperately seek.

Sorry, you mixed that up somewhat.
You are the brainless drama queen without a valid point and without a meaningful life, not me.
Glad to help.

So that's why you had to post your drivel? Because you're not a drama queen fully invested in drive by Ad Hom masquerading as political commentary?

The trick is being employed by the right people. That doesn’t happen very often.

I'm feeling kind of lucky in my current spot. This started off as a freelance side gig a few years back and it turned into a full time spot last year. So far its been a good year, near perfect but the honeymoon phase is over. Currently the pros outweigh the cons but everything can completely change for me without a moments notice. with one even.

I've never had insurance. I guess its different if you have a family to provide for but it always looked scammish to me. Permanently dissolving a good portion of your income into a system that will never pay out...good thing I'm of hearty peasant stock.

So you’re one of the millions uninsured Americans who will leave the hospital to pass costs of serving you on to other patients should you ever have a medical emergency. 👍

Harpy would probably call you a leach - among other things.

You're an ugly bitter fuck.

No I’m not. I’m just reading posts on this thread.

You just explained how you have made the decision not to invest in health insurance coverage and that you don’t get it from your job.

Rightguide pointed out earlier how hospitals are not allowed to turn away patients in critical need. Where do you think the money to cover your emergency care will come from -should you ever need it?

You are literally either relying on the social safety net or you’re okay with passing potential costs for any services you may someday need on to other Americans who pay for medical services.

Is your plan to never get health insurance? If thats the case, unless you die without the need for healthcare or unless you’re wealthy enough that you can pay for it, you will someday “leach” off of society.

Personally I think everyone should be covered by a national healthcare system. It’s conservatives who would consider you a burden, not me.

US fuckin’ A

You're a delusional moron who makes things up and believes them.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on but I seem to be aging in reverse. Never needed a doctor or medical attention.

I might be a super hero.

Oh you silly-dilly.
