The remainder of the scene completely flips the script on 99.9% of similar stories. He circled back and created a win/win where a tragedy actually turned into a growth device. This takes a masterful writer who understands human nature on a different level to create a story like this and have it come off realistically and unforced.

This final scene wrapped the story up in a nice tight wrapper. This writer overwrites, as we all do, and he spends a little bit too much time on internal dialogue and obscure, cultural references, of which I am also guilty in another life. However, he writes with a nuanced and hyper-realistic understanding of the human condition, which many on this site are unable to appreciate as evidenced by the some comments here and many more elsewhere.

Where some writers create with a sledgehammer and a flamethrower, NTH sculpts with a scalpel and laser. He stays away from the cliches often at the peril of the BTB crowd who likes their bread and circuses staged as unflinchingly alike as in Nero’s games. He plays the Lars von Trier card instead of the, “…to the bank and closed our joint credit cards,” card.

This is realistic writing with a naturalistic flair rather than the runaway hyperbole we normally get force-fed in LW.

I feel almost embarrassed, giving this a mere five stars, but it more than earns every one of them. It’s a privilege to read such a work from a writer, who is obviously neither talented nor a hack.

THBGato, you continue to blow my mind. Thank you for the shoutout, but also - I finally finished your series, Eve & Lucy, and it was gorgeous. I laughed, I cried, I may have briefly considered switching careers or adopting someone.

The emotional range you’ve managed to cover - from found family tenderness to pint-glass-panic to quiet, breathless intimacy - is kind of wild, and really well done. The “skin too tight” metaphor? That hit hard. And the actual u-turn ending? Cheesy in the best way. I grinned like an idiot.

Also, “Carriesexual”? Iconic. You should trademark that…but not before I maybe steal it

This is why I allow anonymous comments. For me, one comment like this can wipe out the negative ones (this was on the final segment of Blunt Force Drama, although the speech is in the second segment.)

I just told my wife about the speech, had to stop in the middle because I was crying. This is a beautiful story, very well told. I wasn't sure at first, I think I would have walked because it just seemed like it was going to be one of those stories where nobody got what they wanted. It's sort of a meme, lots of TV shows are like that and I hate them. Can't the writers ever find a way to let people be happy? You found a way, nicely done.

I agree. It was intimidating and hard work to try and get inside other characters’ heads, but it was also mind expanding. I was super-lucky to have help from @PennyThompson in including her Scout and Jeremy - I would never have had the confidence or understanding to attempt an enby without that. And since in our story the fictional organisers invited Scout back to run a bigger inclusion workshop, I want to see what Penny’s got planned

I work with @Djmac1031 all the time, but it was still a challenge to write his much loved Jenna and Tommy. Working with @PennyThompson on my second LitCon story was super fun, and we have another Plucky Penny story planned.

I am also wondering what happened to WordsIntheWyld. Their stories were always very well written it is a shame that authors have to put up with all the nonsense

Sounds plausible to me. I don't get why these trolls do what they do. After all, stories are just stories. Why would you even keep reading stories with themes you hate? If you dislike the RAAC trope, why the hell bother reading them over and over again in order to leave nasty comments? It just doesn't make sense to me. I've also realized that you certainly have to be thick-skinned to write stories in the LW category. Kudos to those who suffer all the unwarranted criticism just to bring us entertaining tales.

Nice story, however I usually don't do nudism as the lynch pin for any story, but in this case OK...Liked the lack of vulgarity...The Romanian words got to be kind of a speed bump to smooth reading...Thankfully you used the correct word "supine" where appropriate rather than "prone"...Now, with the introduction of Adriana, Trish, Coral and AJ there tended to become too many protagonists in a story with out a DP . . . .

"A tall, lean, and tanned, older man clad only in a blue Speedo..." - Yech. Only faggots and swim teams wear Speedos - The use of the "Pretty please" requirement seems to be rather puerile whereas a simple yes would suffice - You just about lost me when you devolved into the Dom/Sub scenario as that's not what I look for in this incest category - Previous comments still apply . . . .

Third reading with an additional thought about a missing opportunity while Kayla was being punished. Since Mark, AJ and Tim were all involved she should have been given a DP as a minimum or ideally been made airtight.
