Taking "Our" Democracy back.

He seems to think that raw democracy - majority wins and rules - somehow isn't the same thing as "sticking it to the minority." Perhaps he doesn't understand the words he uses because they have too many syllables. Especially when strung together.

The funny thing is that a Republic is designed to PROTECT the minority by limiting the effect of the majority. A concept that stupid shit Leftists don't seem to comprehend. Perhaps because of the number of syllables involved.
With a discrete qualification, Marxists will agree that ...

'A Republic is designed to PROTECT the [ruling class 1% GOP / Next 9% Democratic Party] minority by limiting the effect of the [working class 90%] majority.'

As Marx put it ...

'The executive of the modern state is but a committee for managing the common affairs of the whole bourgeoisie.' Preface to A Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy [Marx]

'The state is the executive committee of the bourgeoisie.' The Communist Manifesto [Marx]

'The state is therefore an instrument for the suppression of one class by another, a product of class antagonisms.' Critique of the Gotha Program [Marx]

So, WHY wouldn't the left grasp what Marx told us repeatedly?

No one here actually knows anything about Marxism. Trump supporters use it as an empty slur against Democrats in these parts. Trump loves the uneducated.

LOL — from your lips to the gods’ ears!
Curious how the fascistic right chides [capital ‘D’] Democratic Party for ‘Marxism’ when Marxist themselves refuse to have anything to do with them. Marxists are the most principled critics of the petty bourgeois Democratic Party tendency. It’s just that our criticisms are at least intelligent.

The ease with which HisArpy’s statement aligned with Marx’ thoughts made it too good to resist 🤣!

Flatly, no.

For one, Marxism and Republicanism are anathema to each other. For you to somehow insert Marxism into the equation highlights that you don't know what either of them are.

Secondly, the concept of a republic is to decentralize power so that a majority cannot overwhelm the minority and take away their political voice and will.
