Out of Context Post

You rock!!
I love the kitchen mama style can opener.
Got one last summer when I was hobbled by tendonitis in one wrist. Treated myself to 3 new gadgets:
Electric Can Opener (Kitchen Mama style, not brand)
Electric Jar Opener
USB Rechargeable Pepper Mill
Wish I had indulged years ago! I love all 3!!
Has your relative heard of apps like Be My Eyes for blind and low-vision persons? I've heard of it but not used it.
Duck and Cover (1951)
And now for Café After Dark - Snake Edition

I do the same - load 'em up with protein powder, chia seeds, hemp hearts, ground flaxmeal... all that healthy stuff. Balancing act to get the moisture content just right with all those dry ingredients.I always put protein powder in the EBs. This time, I added a lot more to increase the protein amount. They also have quinoa, chia seeds, and almonds in them.
Thanks for the recipe!I bookmarked it!
Thank you! Just taking longer than I'd like - but getting thereI hope you're feeling better soon, Likes!![]()

Get well soon. I suspect it will help to put the ginger tea straight down the drain.![]()

Yellowfin is actually very tasty. At least when raw - I've no idea what it's like once it's cooked.Sounds nasty….

i was about dried up

I'll second the response from @Missk_2022It was a little nasty, but I remember Captain JJ telling me about riding out a hurricane on a tug (tied to the dock) which after it was over, the deck was covered with marsh grass and water moccasins... that would creep me the F'k OUT!

Agreed - that's what puts the Nope in Nope RopeNope nope nope.... shiver...yuck and NOPE
Looks like a good time! This is our festival at my village 5th year and I have been on planning committee since tge beginning... wish everyone lived closer......
I believe I am playing bass in Bad Inflience. I am also the lead tambourinist in Superfriends.
Both bands have been known to smash up hotel rooms and parks…
Just sayin.
Neat gadget!
I just explained to a blind relative how to open a can with a kitchen mama can opener.
I’ve been getting them for every one. They unbend the can lid so there are no sharp edges. You don’t need strength or vision to use one.

I love the kitchen mama style can opener.

Looks amazing - but that's a lot of work for just 8 people. Major Kudos to all of you. This looks like it bankrolls a huge benefit for the community.About 8 people do all the work
How many of us remember that drill?
Duck and Cover (1951)
Yep - but only long enough for a controlled march down to the basement.I certainly do!
And line up in the school hallways for tornadoes...
And now for Café After Dark - Snake Edition

She observed while she was working that a snake was watching her do it.
we had a giant rat snake in our pool shed
a black racer, one of the longest ones I've seen
the deck was covered with marsh grass and water moccasins
I am ok w most snakes. When I was a kid I thought we had water moccasins here in NJ but it’s an urban (rural) myth. There are water snakes but they are not poisonous.
We do have northern copperheads and timber rattlesnakes here. I’ve seen a copperhead once.
We got plenty of good guys snakes tho: rat snakes and milk snakes and black racers I think.
One of our best snakes is the Speckled King Snake
BTW, down South, "water moccasins" refers to the venomous cotton mouth variety
I know SFA about snakes... I live in the city where I ideally shouldn't see more than a grass snake.Probably. She said that the reaction was just that, a reaction without thinking "what if it tries to kill me?" I reckon that it heard her tone of voice and fucked right off then.
