What are we all writing right now?

My first BDSM, introducing a dominatrix into my friends universe; a sequel to Perfect Sunset; a sequel to Important Days; a whole new romance, but the damned MCs won't fall in love; starting to play with an entry for Mature

Working on a slightly silly, hopefully creepy, supernatural southern gothic story about a tomboy and a witch, inspired by the works of Flannery O'Connor, Harper Lee, Ray Bradbury, and Mike Mignola 😍

It might end up being submitted for the Summer Loving contest, if I can get it done in time and keep to the theme well enough!

Another site I go to has a challenge to write a short story about a toy. I'm turning the toy into a fairy, and having him steal a little girl from Baba Yaga. I doubt I'll post it here, but it's fun and it's getting my creative juices flowing again. So hopefully once it's done I'll be able to get back to my regularly scheduled programming.

In the ongoing efforts to relieve the tedium of the endless AI-related discussions, let's talk about our ongoing projects. What have you got in your Drafts folder?

I'll go first:
- A gritty sci-fi western about a bandit and a bounty hunter on a mining planet (working title: Clever Fox and Tombstone Eyes)
- E/V: two mature women talk on the phone as they ogle the young gardener (A Shared Experience)
- A Regency story in the style of Georgette Heyer and Jane Austen about a party that isn't quite as innocent as it seems (Mrs Danbury's Party)
- I/T: two girls disagree about whether the brother of one of them has the largest cock they've seen (My Sister Loses A Bet)
- Also I/T: another instalment in my "Too Cold Not to Fuck" series (Too Late Not to Fuck)
- Mind control: an office worker finds an experimental thought control device (The Office Fuck-Up)
- A novel-length story about my sword & sorcery characters Avilia and Sligh
- A dark fantasy story about a demon hunter and his apprentice, set in Germany during the Thirty Years' War
- And a few files that are little more than story titles: Happily Orgy After, News Girl Nance, The Night Became Her Lover
I'm doing a lot of short, self-contained stories.
-A convention where an attendee finds a mysterious hotel key in her purse.
-A Massage Parlor game where you chose who and how to massage.
-A road trip bang with an old friend.

Well, I've uploaded two stories in the Fetish section now and got the writing bug after some really positive encouragement. I have plotted out a much larger story, possibly light novel length with chapters in mind, as a longer project taking several months to complete.

It's going to be a different fetish subject than my first two stories and should be a good challenge. It's intended as a present for my best friend who supported my writing and we always talk about what gets us off and she expressed a desire of wanting to peg her partners. She is training to be a nurse, so I've come up with a character who is a Nurse that discovers a unique treatment (pegging) for ailments. (I'm sure its probably a common theme but I hope my take will be unique.) Will be a parody of medical soap opera/dramas, with a style inspired by anime erotic superhero tales like La Blue Girl and Kekko Kamen.

It will be quite over the top, pvc nurses outfits, ridiculous variety of strapons, but hopefully arousing, kinky and enjoyable. I'm hoping it will appeal to women readers looking for a strong, caring lead character, dominating men physically but in a different way than is usually portrayed. I've even got a supporting cast and a variety of patients mapped out and the finale is possibly either the stupidest or the greatest thing I could ever have thought up and if I make it work, will be hopefully very memorable for the reader.

I've got some smaller ideas to continue putting out as well, first one being about a lady mechanic working in a scrapyard and her and a friend find a different way to use their tools.

I've got a bunch of stories in draft, some are chapters, one I think will be a final chapter, although it has been a fun series to write and I never planned it to go more than one chapter when the concept came to me.
Unfortunately I only get on here in 5 minute blocks at a time, so writing can be a challenge, and recently I have tended to be reading stories or farting about in forums than writing. Will get back to it one of these days...

I've been writing some fairy tales recently, but now I'm a bit burned out on them. I went through my WIP folder yesterday - past-me is quite a good writer, but he lacks follow-through - and didn't see anything I wanted to work on.

Instead, here's a new idea. A sleepwalking houseguest who thinks she's spying on a nudist beach. I'm nearly 700 words in, to the detriment of my work.

Sounds like an efficient way to bake in the disappointment of the 'it was all a dream' trope! (y)😇

Started another Melissa Works in the Hardware Store true to life vignette, and 3k words later I think I'm writing a vampire story.

Since my context for vampires is Christopher Lee as Dracula from classic Hammer Horror, Carmilla, and Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Christabel (none of the nineties and oughties tv stuff), my female vamp is surprising, sexy, and I think there's going to be blood. Mine, probably, since it's a first person male narrator. Can you do slow burn when the blood is being sucked from your... body? Stay tuned...

Well, I am writing the conclusion of my Marcus Hogue series. I have the framework for a winter story and dabble at it every now and then.

I have a series, a throuple and harem story I am into chapter 6 but it needs so much work yet. Finally at the request of a friend, I am writing the next part of my Frances story, its the third series, following The Coffee Shop and The Civic Light Orchestra - Internship.

Its nice being a retired grandmother and Nana but this does keep me going

I just submitted a summertime First Time story, which was too late for Summer Lovin’. I think it’s rather sweet, but we will see what others think.

I solved this problem by having my sexy female vampire suck stuff out of other people besides the 1P male narrator.

I'm working on two series at the same time, one is a couples journey into bdsm, and one is gothic fantasy. I do wonder if uploading them at the same time is a good idea? But I like the idea of going from one to the other...

That sounds like a lot of fun, and I can certainly see pegging perking up a few patients! Will keep an eye out for it.

That happens to me too, lots of ideas that don't always get developed or finished, got a few half cooked half sketched fantasies lying around!

This thread came back up and hit me in two ways showing how much and how little changes. Because the forum forgets where you were if you don't touch a thread for a while, it started me at the beginning, with

In the ongoing efforts to relieve the tedium of the endless AI-related discussions, let's talk about our ongoing projects. What have you got in your Drafts folder?

My first thought was, "Oh god, he's complaining about my endless rants about AI, isn't he." And then I noticed the date (Jan 24) almost a year and a half before I first discovered the forum. It really isn't all about me.

My first BDSM, introducing a dominatrix into my friends universe; a sequel to Perfect Sunset; a sequel to Important Days; a whole new romance, but the damned MCs won't fall in love; starting to play with an entry for Mature
Someone just touched this one from just over a month ago and I was interested in how things have changed.

Three of these are now finished and on the site. The BDSM story, Mistress Natasha, got a reasonable rating but little attention. Perfect Sunrise launched yesterday, also doing well ratings wise and getting fairly active engagement. My characters finally did fall in love in my romance (It All Adds Up), but the readers not so much with it in the three weeks it's been up.

I have not touched the sequel to Important Days. I'm not sure right now if I want to or not. Based on a joke in the coffee house her on AH, I wrote my first (and probably last) comedy for the upcoming Crime and Punishment event. Befitting its ineptitude, it made a brief appearance on stage before being yanked back to wait for the event.

As I reflected on my six month anniversary of starting to write few weeks ago, I decided to write a How To for new authors. Hopefully that will come out next week.

The story idea for Mature has become one of the three 70-80K novels I have decided to write more or less at the same time. (Yes, I have a reason for trying that insanity, although my reasoning may not be fully rational.) One of the other ones is a sci-fi settling a new world with an enemies to lovers romance plot line. The third is the backstory for two characters in my most forgettable story Dolls. This will be a mentor-lovers-friends growth over years between two bi-sexual women. The goal is to have all three out by first quarter next year.

I’m working on a story about a time traveler who finds love in the most unexpected place. It’s already 65,000 words long, still unfinished, and I’ve been at it for months. The writing picked up momentum once my other stories were finished and published.

I’ve also started a story about Laura. She appears in the final part of my series Life of Anne, and she struck me as an interesting character to explore further.

Both stories, as far as they’re completed, are now being proofread by another Lit member. The Laura story in particular needs a lot of guidance, since it’s set in America and I’m not from there myself.

I continue to go through new categories and started a project named The Wolfscyld. A story about a woman who gets captured by Vikings in 845 AD in Northumbria, taken as a slave, and brought to Norðweg. It's going to be non-consent / romance.

We're stuck in a time warp here. Nothing changes.

I decided to check out my OP in this thread, to see what had happened with the stories I listed there. Turns out I only ever finished two of them.

I generally have at least two stories on the go at the same time. Currently I have two. One story is at the editing stage and is about a evil queen that crosses paths with a cunning female demon, and explores the themes of Mistress and slave from a couple different perspectives. The other story is going through its first draft and is about a female owner of a company who has a unique way of motivating her senior managers.

What can I say, I like diverse stories ;)

Christopher Lee is/was a great Dracula. On the Melissa Works in the Hardware Store; is that from real life experience, less the vampire reference?
