the Palestinians and Israelis have traded small scale attacks on a regular basis against each other. It's sad, it's unfortunate, but neither side had any reason to quit doing that. "It's always been that way".

Not this time, though. Benjamin Netanyahu gave Israeli religious zealots from the West Bank access to the military power they've always craved, and the religious bigot extremists took full advantage of Netanyahu's dereliction of duty.

🙄

“Not this time, though”…

And then you go on to completely ignore the MASSIVE Hamas 10/7 rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation (attack) which triggered the massive Israeli response…

😑

You have attained MAGAt level 🤡 status on this issue:

That's all you've got? An appeal to emotion?
C'mon you're better than that.

Circling back to your claim that Democrats could possibly lose oodles of Jewish voters in the midterms, I'll point out Mamdani's victory in the NY mayoral primary. Virtually every Jew in NYC voted AGAINST him in the Democratic primary, but what was the number that came out yesterday.....46% I think? (not interested in looking up the exact number) of Jewish voters said they would vote for him in the NY mayoral general election....not third party (Cuomo and others), not Republicans, not MAGA.....they're voting Democratic.

And remember, BrightShinyGirl INSISTS VERY LOUDLY that Mamdani is an "antisemite". (He's not, of course, but I understand her sentiment....she's internalized the "errything I don't like is 'antisemitic'" pushed by Israeli media).

There's more than a bit of a disconnect here.

In any event, I still hold the moral high ground.

There WAS NOT ONE IOTA of “appeal to emotion” in MY comment.

There WAS A FUCKTON of mocking in MY comment in response to the irony / hypocrisy contained in YOUR comment.

EVERY TIME you bring up "Rape 'n Murder! Rape 'n Murder" (along with "Babies as Human shields!") you are engaging in an "appeal to emotion".

"murder" just happens to be a fig leaf to cover genocidal Israel's starvation campaign. "Civilian Project Hannibal", where the genocidal Israeli government instructed their own military to kill their own citizens (!!!) shows how little regard the genocidal Israel regime has for ANY human life, Jew or Arab. And the reason they gave this order, to spare Netanyahu the bother of negotiating for additional hostage lives, is particularly reprehensible.

I sometimes wonder if "rape" has any legal standing as a crime in Israel. Israel is unique amongst "civilized" countries in that sex crimes such as rape and pedophilia are NOT considered extraditable offenses by treaty in Israel. Over 100 rabbis and teachers who committed sex crimes...mostly but not always against Jewish students!...have fled to Israel to avoid incarceration and/or civil damages.

To change the subject a bit, while reading up on American and Australian sex offenders and pedophiles living large in genocidal Israel, I came across a random article about how genocidal Israel finally located the names and birthplaces of 9000 Jewish children living in the Netherlands immediately prior to World War 2, who were spirited out of the country by a program called Kindertransport. 9000 children willingly surrendered by their parents so that they might have an opportunity to live in peace elsewhere.

I idly thought that that might work in Gaza, set up some sort of kindertransport program to allow Gazan children to escape the hellscape environment of the imminent Israeli genocidal forces just like the Jewish children did 85 years ago in advance of the imminent Nazi genocidal forces.

But I came to the conclusion that that would most likely not work, given genocidal Israel's complete disregard for, you know, foreign borders. I can absolutely see them dispatching assassins around the world to exterminate these children, all in the name of "Israeli Security".

Today was a pivotal day in genocidal Israel's history.

The Netanyahu regime fired the Attorney General.
The Israeli Supreme Court put a temporary stay on the firing pending judicial review.
The public spokesman for the Israeli government said that it would no longer abide by any Supreme Court decisions.

Israel should no longer be considered a "democracy".
It is, at best, an authoritarian theocracy.

I, for one, can't wait for Genocide Jeff or Noor spins this particular pivot to facism as "righteous".

The Koran
Surah XVII, The Children of Israel
104 And we said unto the Children of Israel after him: Dwell in the land, but when the promise of the Hereafter comes to pass, we shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations.

In a perfect world, God would visit misfortune and disease upon yourself and your bloodline . . .
Well gosh, Grand Inquisitor Rob! If that's the punishment for disagreeing with you, what do you think the punishment for the Arabs (and the Persians, too, can't forget the paymasters of Hezbollah, Hamas, etc.!) should be for their genocidal wars beginning in 1948?

Actually, except for the rulers of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and the other pampered petroleum princelings, all those folks, from the people slaughtering each other in Yemen and Syria to the Hamas terrorist squat in Gaza, seem to have brought more misfortune upon themselves than any god in any world (perfect or otherwise) could dream up!

I'll give you credit, you keep on coming up with new focus group ideas to test to rationalize the fact that "God's Chosen People" chose to starve the children of those people not like them, via government policy.

Did you see my post about the shiny jewel of Jewish Democracy in the Middle East morphing into a shining jewel of authoritarian theocracy overnight?

Your genocidal regime's communications director announced haughtily that the genocidal Israeli executive branch was no longer bound by Israeli Supreme Court rulings!

What a time to be a Jew!

There is no famine in Gaza. Hamas is starving the hostages they kidnapped on October 7th.

How about this idea: consider the India/Pakistan partition. Territory was divided. Populations were exchanged.

Now populations have to move again. The moslems of Gaza and their terrorist leadership Hamas will leave, go back to Egypt (the birthplace of Yasser Arafat after all!), or maybe to a different arab/muslim country (not Kuwait, sadly, as the Gazans celebrated a little too loudly when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait!)

When the Jews were made to leave Gaza it didn't result in peace, so let's try it the other way.

From the source in the post quoted above.

Some outfit called the "New York Solidarity Effort" is an organization who polls only Jewish voters.

They created a poll that asked 800 Jews who were New York City residents "who will you support in the upcoming New York City mayoral general election?"

The results:
  • Democrat Zohran Mamdani - 37 percent (or "just 37 percent" according to the news site above)
  • Former Democrat turned Independent Eric Adams (incumbent) - 25 percent
  • Former Democrat turned Independent Andrew Cuomo - 21 percent
  • Perennial Republican Curtis "Guardian Angel" Silwa - 14 percent

So yes, Mamdani is technically "opposed by most New York Jews", but he still leads the plurality of Jewish voters.

Interesting breakdown from the article
  • 3 percent of all Orthodox Jews support Mamdani, 97 percent favor "anyone else".
  • 54 percent of all Reform Jews support Mamdani, 46 percent favor "anyone else".

However, opposing Netanyahu's policy of facilitating mass starvation does not constitute antisemitism, no matter how many times you deny that mass starvation is happening.
If you think that mass starvation is Netanyahu's aim you're dumber than a stump. Most of the donated food for months has been stolen by Hamas. Look closely, Hamas is well fed, well cared for medically, and in public, well dressed and groomed. The non-profit American aid group of former Special Operations military men are now overseeing food distribution, so ALL non-military people can be fed. One can only hope Hamas can start starving to death. Wouldn't that be justice?
