The leaders in Doha still think they are winning.
They are. I’m a Zionist and Israel isn’t winning. Well, in any way Bibi has explained it.
He’s failing at getting the hostages back. He’s winning at staying out of prison.
Israel needs to get rid of him and his henchmen.

I’m confident that Israel will win in the long run, they don’t have a choice.
He got a good percentage of them back, but at a large cost which better than none. i am not fond of Netanyahu, he should be in jail and hopefully will be in jail when this is over, but I’m not sure what he could do to get them all esp at this point Hamas is not interested in releasing them, it’s not in their best interest to do. Itand as their leaders have said repeatedly, they will do Oct 7th again and again and again until Israel is no more.
I guess one can only hope that they can be found by Mossad and shin bet and returned.
Remember Oct 7 happened during a ceasefire and they mean little to Hamas except a time to regroup to fight another day.
Before October 7, I foolishly believed in this two state solution just like a lot of the kibbutzim who were massacred on that day. I no longer believe.
As for Zionism, I don’t really idlebtify myself as much, but I believe that Israel must stand, and that the Jews are indigenous to Israel, their ancestral homeland.
Even if all the Jews in the world to not live in Israel and have never been to Israel, it is important that it exist, that there is one country in the world who will always accept the Jews.

The Palestinians should have been intelligent enough to realize that if they attacked Israel the Israeli response would be unfortunate for them.
As a self-proclaimed "Christian", you should know that starving innocent children for ANY reason, not just "government sanctioned starvation" is a sin.

But then, you've also claimed to be a "Jerry Falwell Christian" so your knowledge and interpretation of Biblical Scripture is defective by definition.

Hey, do you believe ole Jerry went to Heaven? I don't.

They’re not on the boycott list because it would be inconvenient. They’re focused on Coke.
Also Google AI is providing support to the Israeli government.

Google AI and the genocidal Israeli Government would appear to be a match made in Hell,

Google AI gives us dietary recommendations on how many rocks the average person can consume in one day, while the genocidal Israeli government attempts to gaslight us into believing the mass starvation of innocent children is some sort of "virtue".

I have read the Bible including the Apocrypha ten times in eight English translations. Right now, I am reading the Jewish Study Bible for the second time. I have also read many books about the Bible. I admire Jews, respect Judaism, and love Israel. I have no sympathy for Jew haters who want to destroy Israel. i usually attend church on Sunday.

I want Israel to win its war against the Palestinians. I am glad we won the Second World War. During that war we killed many German and Japanese children.

I have followed the religious right with interest and sympathy since 1980. This is because I have always disliked the sexual revolution. I believe there is often wisdom in tradition, taking my inspiration from Edmund Burke. I am pessimistic about human nature, taking my inspiration from E.O. Wilson. I am pessimistic about human potential, taking my inspiration from Charles Murray. I was a card carrying member of the Moral Majority. I was a charter subscriber to Jerry Falwell's magazine The Fundamentalist.

Nevertheless, I have always voted Democrat. The religious right has not been good at selecting presidents. In 1980 most Christian conservatives abandoned the most sincerely Christian President the United States ever had to vote for a product of Hollywood who rarely attended church. More recently they have supported a dishonest, foul mouthed adulterer who has only attended church a few times since compulsory chapel at the military school he attended.

The religious right thought President Carter was insufficiently opposed to abortion. As governor of California Reagan signed a law legalizing abortion in California. Of the three Supreme Court justices he nominated, two voted to preserve Roe vs Wade.

Reagan knew the religious right was a large constituency the Republican Party would need in close elections. He also knew that most Americans, including many Republicans, disliked the religious right. Consequently, he gave the religious right rhetorical support, while doing nothing to advance its agenda.

Like most Americans I desire a more progressive tax system. When Jesus and St. James mention rich people they condemn them. The Old Testament prophets also condemn the rich. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech includes passages from the books of Isaiah and Amos.

The vast majority (all but 5?) were back from a ceasefire deal.
He doesn’t care about them.
There’s a reason Hamas attacked peaceniks.
Netanyahu is destroying Israel - even outside of the Gaza issue. What his government allows in the West Bank, empowering the crazy right wing - both political and religious - to get what they want. It might be the case soon enough that they won’t accept every Jew because the right wing will want a specific type. They hate women and queer people and educated people. It’s the same as America.

But you literally used it.
Your inconsistency and lack of intellectually functioning are showing. Either you use Google AI to ‘prove a point’ or you don’t believe in using it. You keep coming back to the same point and using the same six words. You’re not a serious person.

Israel rationalizes this as payback for indignities they have suffered for the past millennia or so.
How curious it is you refer to the horrific attacks of 7 October (and the pogroms, holocaust, etc. of the "past millennia") as mere "indignities"!

Anyway, the 7 October atrocities were committed in the third millennium, not the second or first. Israel is responding to an attack by moslem terrorists that killed over a thousand of its citizens and still holds dozens as hostages and human shields. If the moslem perpetrators have suffered "indignities," as you call it, over the last few months, well, they brought it on themselves, didn't they?

Unfortunately the last 4 ceasefire deals, Hamas has backed out of. They literally have no incentive to release any more at this point.
I hate the likud party, always have. Israel still needs to be safe from attack and until they are, the government can not change. The sooner the war is over, the better.
Historically the likud party has tried to change the definition of birthright Jews. What stops them is money drying up, mainly from American Jews every time they try.

you and I differ here because I don't think this is making Israel any safer. A military that doesn't support the objective, a people who don't believe their government reflects their best interests - all bad.

The military is supporting the objective of getting rid of Hamas and safety for greater Isreal . 80% of the Oct 7 hostages have been released, with 4 having been rescued. Who is released is unfortunately upto Hamas not the military.
The military is responsible to the government who is elected by the people.
I’d say Isreal is safer than it was on Oct 7, and as Hamas intents to do the massacre again and again, I would say in that sense they are safer.
Israeli internal affairs are a mess, that is part of why Hamas felt they would be successful in their attack.
Once the threats are neutralized, Israel can sort out their issues but while there are still people who wish to actively kill them, they don’t have the luxury to do it now.

I think, then, we have difference concepts of "Israel is safer".
Netanyahu allowed Oct 7th to happen and should have been removed very much after. I believe the same for George W Bush after 9/11.
Most Israelis now no longer support a two state solution (Palestinians never did), which hinders peace.

The 10/7 prison break was Gazans fed up with 11 years of forced starvation at the hands of the genocidal Israeli regime.

To equate the 1195 genocidal Israeli deaths with the horrific 60,000+ deaths that Gazans have suffered at the hands of the genocidal Israeli armed forces is ridiculous. That is a textbook example of "collective punishment", and as I've said before, we used to hang Nazis for that.

To claim that Gazans "brought this on themselves" speaks volumes about your lack of morality and basic human decency. In a perfect world, God would visit misfortune and disease upon yourself and your bloodline for such desecration from now until the heat death of the universe.

In summary:
  • Boycott
  • Divest
  • Sanction
  • War Crimes Tribunal

Google AI is a basic tool of modern day life.
Think of it like a screwdriver:
  • Good, moral people such as myself would use a screwdriver to put together something useful, like I did just yesterday when I installed new mini-blinds on my kitchen windows.
  • On the other hand, evil, immoral people (such as the genocidal Israeli armed forces) would view a screwdriver as an instrument to kill innocent Gazan children, the IDF could simply insert one tip into a Gazan child's ear canal and strike it with a hammer until the tip comes out the other ear.

I sincerely hope this helps to explain the lack of seriousness in your part.

This maybe true. I’m thinking currently safe from invasion and massacre.
I agree that lax security by governmental decisions led to Oct 7 being allowed to happen, and Netanyahu being the head of the government is responsible for those. The actual massacre was down to Hamas.
I agree that the Palestinians historically and currently never wanted a two state solution which is why Arafat turned down the camp David agreement.
Removal of Netanyahu is definitely what needs to happen, but where, when and how? Who takes his place?
How would to go about it? Why is the Knesset not doing anything?
Safer for the future is a great goal, but not if not safer for now when israel
Still experiences missile attacks regularly and Hamas is still a threat.

🙄

Until you assign some culpability / blame for the "Palestinian" condition (pre & post 10/7) to the "Palestinians", you are simply being a MAGAt level 🤡.

I suspect that the Democratic Party will lose (or not win as big) in 2026! & 2028 because of rigidly radical one sided (wrong sided) viewpoints like the ones you express being echoed by certain Democrats (Rashida Tlaib, etc).

🤬

We. Told. Them. So.

Ok so you’re using a ‘basic tool of modern life’ while advocating for BDS. Saying you can’t function without Israeli items is just perfect. What a useful idiot.

I will most certainly NOT "assign some culpability / blame" to Gaza for the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

You and I both know, and if we didn't know we'd have BrightShinyGirl reminding us every single month, that the Palestinians and Israelis have traded small scale attacks on a regular basis against each other. It's sad, it's unfortunate, but neither side had any reason to quit doing that. "It's always been that way".

Not this time, though. Benjamin Netanyahu gave Israeli religious zealots from the West Bank access to the military power they've always craved, and the religious bigot extremists took full advantage of Netanyahu's dereliction of duty.

The result has been an utter catastrophe. Israel as a country has jettisoned what little morality and humanity they had as a nation, and became focused on the extermination of Gazans. Israel is now a country of perpetual vengeance and has the unmitigated gall to say that their lack of human compassion is some sort of perverse "virtue".

Because of Israel's unbridled enthusiasm for killing the elderly, the infirm and the children (all in the name of "ensuring Israel's right to exist") has put a big red target on the back of every Jew in the world for the next 100 years.

The starvation campaign is 100% Israel's fault alone. I understand you believe otherwise, but I feel I represent a substantial minority....if not a slim majority of worldwide public opinion.

Israel's Gaza campaign will likely echo America's war in Vietnam....winning all the battles but ultimately losing the war.
