🔮 What are you doing right now? 🔮

Trying to figure out which book to read next. Any recommendations?
I have been re-reading some Agatha Christie: I finally delved into her Non-Poirot and Non- Marple novels.
I loved The secret of Chimneys, The man in the brown Suit, The Seven Dials mystery .. and a lot of others I had never read before.

Of course I am a fan of hers, but also, their setting ( pre-WW II ) and the irony of Mrs.Christie are what does it for me.

;)

Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors of all time. I discovered her novels when I was about 10, and even got to see stage productions of And Then There Were None, Murder on the Orient Express and Black Coffee.

Same, I discovered her books at a young age. Now that I am able to appreciate them in the original language though, I can taste another layer of her ability with words.
There are bits and pieces that make me laugh so much.
Like " She gave me a handful of assorted knuckles and rings to squeeze, and began talking ....."
Irony at its finest.

I honestly don't understand how some of her novels did not become adventurous movies or thriller. Maybe they will in coming years.

I was so hoping that Kenneth Branagh would do a good job with Murder on the Orient Express, but I was woefully disappointed. So many of Ms. Christie's stories would make excellent adventure-thrillers, especially if they are adapted by a good studio.

Currently auditioning for the universe’s most elusive position: professional daydreamer. I’d like a role where my job description reads - wander in thoughts, sin in Lit, and leave small offerings of words behind like crumbs for fellow wanderers. Still waiting for HR to call me back.

I'm just watching YouTube crochet videos while I do light therapy to hopefully boost my energy levels. I've been crocheting a lot! I crocheted two baby beanies and a cat toy yesterday.
