Thank you everyone. I'm currently hooked up to an IV feed of morphine and muscle relaxants. Feeling pretty chilled out right now thankfully.

Takeaway does sound tempting. I haven't eaten since last night - I've been on a trolley in a corridor for 14 hours before I finally got into a bed on a ward at 6am. Then the nurses started waking people up at 6:30.
Got some earplugs and had a tiny bit of sleep. But I'm hoping I'll be fit to go home later and recuperate more there.

Yeah if I didn't have the medication on board already, I think I'd have gone mental.
I'm going to try and scrounge a bit more sleep before the doctors come back.

I'm doing better thanks mate. The pain is back down to its usual levels. I'm just torn up inside about Sassy - a tiny fraction of how you feel, obviously.
But apart from that, I'm better thank you.
