The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

They are a love-hate food... I don't know of anyone who's really a take 'em or leave 'em opinion.

I was spared several polarizing dishes because one/both of my parents disliked them.

Not upset about Liver and Onions, but I was in my 40s before I ever sampled a brussels sprout. 😋 But mom hated them so we just never had them growing up. Honestly, doubtful I would have liked them when I was growing up. There are several veggies I love now that I hated as a kid. :ROFLMAO:

Trust me - there are some that I've always disliked, too.
Roasted sprouts with bacon and parm cheese...yum

Morning. It’s not good to wake up to shootings. This weekend 10 people were stabbed at random in Traverse City. No one died. But why? Why the shootings?

I know there are no easy answers.

I am up early to get ready to drive the grandchildren. Will check in with my daughter about flooding. It should be drained by now.
I think the lack of adequate mental health care in the past 4 decades has contributed mightily.

In FL right now the salaries of the insurance executives is getting alot of attention. Then there is the attention that getting between companies and people who have lost there home get. I guess Benjamin Franklin would suggest we have mutual insurance. With the increase in storms and sea level rise it always seems like a bad idea to make money on the personal disasters. I sort of feel the sameway about the medical Industry.
I worked for a for-profit organization for a short time. The cost cutting and deployment of untrained staff was so detrimental to patients. I couldn't wait to get out of there and get back to the not for profit sector.

I have been praying about it...

8 have been thinking of housewarming presents

A flaming bag of shit.

A surprise box of cockroaches or better yet crickets

A box of condoms and a plan b pill because she should never have more children

A book on how to take care of animals

Cleaning supplies

Hmm what else
Sounds like a lot of work to invest in a low-life individual.

We might be needing recipe for syrup and pie filling. We (OK, she, this year...) put 13 quarts of cherries in the freezer, and she thinks there's 3-4 quarts on the trees yet.
Maybe if not for this year, for the coming years as these threes have only been in 4 years now and we have 7 trees...

These are tart cherries, so I understand they'll need sugar to make syrup. (That sweetish-tartish cherry flavor is amazing!).
This is the recipe I use for pie filling. Because I use Bings, I don't feel the need for as much honey. I usually use about half called for in the recipe.
