LilKitKat's Second Cumming Thread 💦

Sorry about the interview not ending up successful. It sounds like you weren't completely thrilled with the job so hopefully this is just going to clear the way for the right job to present itself to you! Sending good vibes and hopes for the best!

Truth be told, the job wasnt something I would have looked forward to...but it was something to keep me going.
My direct mgr was super nice, her boss was super weird. But I would have done well at the job I think...but whatever. Another will be coming, just hope it isnt in 3 months as opposed to 3 weeks.
Knowing you I think it will most definitely be closer to the 3 weeks!! 🙏

That's BS. Most recruiters/interview boards already know who they're going to pick after the first round. Grrrrr
well, I think the lady that would have been my direct mgr really liked me...this was last Wednesday and after that interview she told me they were close with someone else already but she really wanted to get me in front of her boss, so I had that interview last Friday.
Then I heard they were still debating so they asked if I would meet one more time (yesterday). So I did, and that was with both people.
The guy was super weird and asked all the nonsensical questions. But apparently thats were I came across flustered once.
And my recruiter told me this morning they passed because of that and they needed "calm with clarity" during the craziness. So I guess my flustered response to something gave him/them doubts.
I actually have no idea which response it was because I felt calm and gave detailed answers but...

My cousin was trying to land a job at this one company in the Oregon area. He had ELEVEN interviews there...and then they passed on him.
ELEVEN.

This wasnt for a CEO/CFO/CTO type. It was some marketing manager type of role.
He told me he posted about it on glassdoor or linkedin or something and found out ANOTHER person also went through a similar set of circumstances and had 10-11 interviews before passing.
Like....WTF? Do you need to interview with every single person in the company and if you get one person hesitant they just say "nah"?

I still remember the name. NAVEX GLOBAL...its burned in my brain to never apply there

You did say that while you probably would have accepted an offer, you had some reservations. Maybe its a blessing in disguise you didn’t get it. Even though the uncertainty now coming after Friday will suck for a time.
((HUGGLES)) 😘

That is incredibly obsessive to put anyone through that for a mid-level position.

Fuck that!

I just Googled them - Risk, Compliance, and Whistleblower Solutions

That just sounds like toxicity with a capital T!

10 steps of tests/interviews. Followed by 5 months at a special college to which flunking out was a possibility.

That was the most stressful thing I’ve done

oh, for sure. I would have had 5am meetings and the project timeline and requirements seemed overly demanding for a PM type of position. And the pay was fine...in line...75/hour...but seemed very high-maintenance as opposed to say, my current position.
