Daddy's Little Girl - Fourth Edition

Thank you all for making me feel welcome. I had been a lurker but hadn’t really participated. I hope it isn’t just the bribes!! 😍

Brownies, blondies, cookies (sweet, semi-sweet, not so sweet, gluten-free, it doesn't matter), and baked goods of all kinds are wonderful and welcomed by this bunny. And sometimes consumed too much. 🫤 Though as a bigger/taller bunny, I'm not so small as to be able to get down and get the crumbs on the floor. 🫤 I shall do my best to be neat...

Not to change the subject,
But does anyone have an opinion on the best cuddle furniture??

Couch?
Big easy chair?
Blanket fort?

Just curious....
Big enough for me to curl up myself and my hubby on, which tends to be a couch, as I am on the tall side. As much as a blanket fort could be fun, getting down on the floor and getting back up again isn't as easy as it used to be.

Well, would this way be good then...

and then choose Breakfast Cookies (from B2fromA2looking4you) from the index which is in the 2nd post.

I've tried that recipe and it works. I'm just way too exhausted to do more than the bare minimum today! (Also, hot and AC only cools down bedroom.)
While I'm weird and the heat doesn't bother me, I actually prefer it having been born and raised with it (35C-45C+), I do understand how it affects many people. I know how it drains a lot of people of their energy. You do what you can with the energy level you have each day, each hour, each minute. Some days it's more, some it's less.

Those sound delicious!
They are. The kind that makes you make one more - until you realise your stomach is full already. Because it's not empty calories!

Here the national record is about 34C. Most people think above 30 is just too much... And this year it's a bit so and so if we got the record row of 30C days or not (previous record was 13 in a row).

I'd be really ready for temperature to drop below 25 again. It takes ages for this house to cool down again. (AC isn't self-evident even in more southern parts of Europe.)

Good morning! Did you ever find your perfect cuddle spot?
I mean....
The obvious answer is his lap.... Duh.. lol.
I was just thinking about furniture and what was the best....

He sent me a picture of a chair where he was and it was kinda like a lounge, hand a table attached... And then had like an attached ottoman ... Cause he could put his feet up .... Kinda like an armless couch....

I dunno it seems cool.... But I wasn't sure it was practical...

I also wanted opinions from friends, if we decorate here. That's all.

I do understand that in your neck of the woods, that kind of heat is not normal. I've personally survived 50C (122F) and even though I stayed inside most of the day and I did have AC, I still had to go out in it for a little while. I totally understand you wanting it to drop below 25C and I have heard that AC isn't common in houses in Europe in general. I do hope for your sake that it does cool off sooner than later. The cliché (I think I got the accent in the right direction? I can never remember.) that "it's a dry heat" is true, in that it's easier to tolerate higher temperatures when there's less humidity. I guess I just have a higher heat tolerance? Moving to the Northeast US was a bit of a shock (climate and culturally) as I didn't grow up with snow and ice, nor had I ever driven in it. I learned fast, lol. Sorry for my rambling, I'll be quiet now... 🫣

I've experienced 41C once (in Portugal) and wanted nothing more than to get somewhere with AC (but had to spend hours outdoors due to the situation). I'm indeed not fit for heat.. Well I can handle 26 just fine, 27-28 occasionally, but now my bedroom AC unit (all that I have) doesn't want to cool below 25 anymore so...

And it's not that dry here. It can get down to 40% at day, nights are 95%.

My body thermostat does function well and I need extra electrolytes even in winter. So yeah, I'm quite done. Next week will still be heat, and I'll be traveling...

That sucks that your AC unit doesn't want to cool the room any colder than that. 😔 I wish you the best of luck and safe travels. Electrolytes and hydration are important, even in the winter, if there is low humidity. I don't think I'd survive well up in the Nordic countries due to the intense cold and the lack of sunlight in the winter. I have a hard time in the winter in the latitudes here and that's not even close to where you are. I grew up with sunny days about 85% of the time. A lack of sunlight sends me into a depressive state. I have a daylight lamp and I do use it, but it's not a perfect substitute.

Actually, snow makes it easier. And that's one reason why I hate winter when it doesn't freeze. Another is the humidity, as freezing immediately dries the weather. So, at +1 we have humid darkness that feels colder than it is, and already at -1, if we have snow too it's beautiful white landscape that reflects all light there is, and it's dry and doesn't feel as cold as +1. (In this part of Finland most winter is around 0...-10C.)

And imagine what snow means to littles! Wet winters are depressing, snowy winters are FUN!
