Epstein’s Connected Perverts- the Scandal of the Century

But then why is the President's personal lawyer doing it? Is he involved in the litigation surrounding her appeal?

He's the Deputy AG.
Is he involved in the litigation surrounding her appeal? Was he involved in the original trial? Is he interviewing her alone, with no witnesses or recording of the interview? How often does the deputy AG involve himself in the criminal appeals process for a particular individual?

Could President Trump pardon her in exchange for her testimony that President Trump never partied with Jeffrey Epstein and his underage victims?

He's the deputy AG. Of course he's involved in her appeal. She was charged with federal crimes.

These are simple questions to answer with even a slight understanding of the law.

Why do you say, "of course"? There are presumably many people convicted of federal crimes in the USA who are pursuing appeals. Is a deputy AG involved in every one of those? There must be dozens and dozens of federal prosecutors and hundreds of assistant prosecutors.

Because I expect you to have a basic understanding of the roles of the DoJ.

I think if you rub two sticks together on the politics of this, you might understand how stupid your questions are.

Interesting! So it's all about the politics, is it? Is that why he's interviewing her alone, with no record made of the interview?

Things are not looking good for Donald Trump, especially considering:

"When Epstein was deposed in 2016 and was asked under oath if he ever socialized with Trump in the presence of minor girls, he claimed his Fifth Amendment right to not incriminate himself and refused to answer."

President Donald Trump told CNN on Friday that he hasn’t thought about giving a pardon or commutation to Ghislaine Maxwell, although he didn’t rule it out.

“It’s something I haven’t thought about,” he said. “I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I have not thought about.”

Asked again later if clemency is on the table, Trump told reporters at the White House: “I can’t talk about that now. … it’s very sensitive,” before going on to praise Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche who he said "is over there now.”

So what has she got hanging over his head? She probably hasn't got the $2m bribe that he charges for normal pardons. 'Very sensitive' means that she hasn't yet signed the NDA.

Trump’s handlers want to paint Maxwell as a victim but she’s in prison and not for a lack of evidence proving she was a mastermind. She and Epstein ran a Kompromat factory blackmailing hundreds of clients - incl Trump. There is proof of this. She will say anything at this point to cut a deal and it will contradict everything that landed her in prison. And she’ll be pardoned. She won’t be re tried.

I take it that a simple understanding of the law will explain why the president’s former personal criminal defense lawyer does not have a conflict of interest that would disqualify him from working as a prosecutor in a case where the President is under suspicion. I have to say, though, that I don’t understand.

A lot of it is, yes.

Not all.

Certainly having your number two perform an interrogation shows his base that he's serious.

There are certainly issues that have been brought up regarding the methodology...but I do believe you're spending way too much time trying to make this more than it is

Pivoting I see

I agree with you that he should have had someone else there...but I think the President is trying to save face with his base more than he's trying to address anything else

Doesn’t that make the conflict worse? If the purpose of the interview is to cover his ass, whether politically or criminally, then having his personal lawyer involved in any way just undermines whatever credibility Maxwell might have had.
Which wouldn’t be much.
Suppose he gets her to say that Epstein provided girls to Obama and Bill Clinton, while Hillary watched. Would even the most committed Qanoner believe that?

Quite the contrary! If the Trump Administration were really handling this in an entirely aboveboard manner, they would have been very careful to make sure an impartial person was involved in this, not the lawyer who defended in a criminal case one of the people alleged to have been partying with Jeffrey Epstein and underaged females.

I don't see this administration doing anything except catering to the base and yes, they could've done this differently to make it appear differently, but having the deputy AG do the interview is not entirely unusual for a.politically charged issue.

Quite the contrary! For a politically charged issue it would be even more imperative to ensure that the administration is pursuing justice rather than grinding a political axe.

yah, you're not seeing it from the same perspective I am....I can see where you're coming from but you're not seeing it from my side. All good 👍.

I think it’s funny that so many powerful men hung out with him …. But none of them were ever around his gaggles of massage girls…

Except Randy Andy!
Hahahaha!

Lots of celebrities were friends of Jeffrey Epstein. What really matters is which of them went to his island to have sex with underage girls. Those are the men I want to be exposed.
