Yeah, that situation warrants intense international diplomacy & leveraging of global assistance to rein in the new "Syrian government".



A former Al-Qaeda terrorist as Syria’s leader, and a government controlled by former Al-Qaeda terrorists, is NOT a recipe for success in Syria.



Israel was smart to demilitarize as much of Syria’s war making infrastructure as they could before al-Sharaa, etc, consolidated / consolidates power (And nobody really wants / should want al-Sharaa & the former al-Qaeda terrorists currently controlling the new "Syrian government to fully consolidate power in Syria).



The move against the Druze was definitely a test by the new "Syrian government" to see how far they can push things towards their inevitable goal of transitioning to a totalitarian Islamic state.



Israel basically let the new "Syrian government" know that if they test / violate the parameters of the recent diplomatic agreements with the U.S., etc, then Israel will respond / act - even if TACO won’t.



Message sent by Israel, but did the new "Syrian government" received it???

Israel is protecting the Druze minority in southern Syrian by sending Damascus a strong message that they won't tolerate the abuse of the Druze by the Muslim majority. It's not entirely altruistic. The Druze in the Golan Heights have been strong allies to the Jews in Israel and protecting their brothers over the border in Syria will pay security dividends for Israel in the long run.

Israel is the only country coming to the protection of the Druze. There is a large Druze minority in northern Israel with strong ties to the community across the border in Syria.

Um, after the Hamas 10/7 rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation, there were celebrations & rallies in the West Bank - while Hamas’ popularity & recruiting surged in the West Bank as well… and the Israeli government STILL did NOT initiate ANY program of "ethnic cleansing".

Are the Israeli’s once again responding to an ACTUAL genocidal attack (10/7)) by the "Palestinians", etc, and rooting out hotbeds of terrorists in the West Bank??? Sure. The Israelis would be foolish not to address such a security threat (See also: Israel would be foolish not to address the SPRAWLING Hamas Gaza terror infrastructure NETWORK above AND below ground). But is an Israeli government program of ethnic cleansing occurring in the West Bank??? Hardly.



Ultimately:

After Hanas’ genocidal 10/7 rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping operation, the "Palestinians" in the West Bank CHOSE to rally to Hamas’ side / aid, and that CHOICE has / had CONSEQUENCES: “Align with genocidal terrorists - get treated like genocidal terrorists”.
