I've been working on a few novels (I have a really hard time focusing) and while I've come up with titles for two of them, I haven't been able to find one for my third.

This is what I've posted so far, but it's just a single scene and one that comes up very early on in the story. I'm more than happy to share more about the plot and characters on request.

The quick synopsis is: a reclusive American living in England falls in love with an Assassin sent to kill him after the hit gets called off. The American finds the Assassin again and tries to get the him to give up killing by taking him on five dates.

Important character details include: the American's father married a Duchess, and the Assassin is basically a paid vigilante.

Again, if you want to know anything else, I'd be happy to share. I've tried finding help on other writing forums, but all I got back was "I come up with the title before I write" or "My editor comes up with titles for me". I'd really love some feedback because I have no friends or anyone else to ask.

Thank you.

Update: This is part 2 if you want more context. It just got uploaded and it's more reflective of the tone of the story

Five Nights to Claim Him: Directly referencing the 'five dates,' 'Claim Him' speaks to the American's assertive pursuit and the intimate conquest of the assassin, carrying a very sexy, possessive undertone.

All nice and good romantic titles here, but if you wanna something more lewd/explicit, then given it's a Gay Male story you could go with:

Jamming His Pistol

Assuming this was the intended murder weapon, that is ;)

the Assassin is basically a paid vigilante
What's the reason the American is being targeted?

Who ordered it?

Has it got something to do with:
His identity?
Something he did?
Something he knows?

What was the reason the hit was called off?

Answers to these questions might suggest something interesting for the title.

I read the excerpt.

What about

The Ghost Who Loved Me

or That One Time I Was Almost Shot

or Wine With The Killer

Thank you.
The Little Death, it would include the well known polite term for orgasm, and also a reference to death.
