I can guarantee you 1000% Lit is way more than that. That sounds like a lot for the UK, and seems unlikely
That's rich coming from someone in Missouri

Your state can go fuck themselves.
Maybe, I have no idea.I can guarantee you 1000% Lit is way more than that.
Agreed.![]()
Out of curiosity, what mechanism enables this? how does a site block its access to a state? or even a country?UK isn't the issue. Kansas and Tennessee State Laws could put Lit out of business and the way those laws are worded in jail. There is a reason the biggest sites are blocking those states.
will there be announcements to UK forum users if the service has to change or diminish?Literotica gets between 300,000 and 1,000,000 visits per day.
Standard stats for most english based sites UK accounts for about 7% of traffic.
On that basis alone they would be at 20,000+ UK Users per day. They aren't going on daily stats. So Lit is way over the line in terms of number of users.
They grab the IPs associated with that state or country and then apply the block or apply the age verification.Out of curiosity, what mechanism enables this? how does a site block its access to a state? or even a country?
My guess is Lit has flown under the radar. When they get approached we will all know.will there be announcements to UK forum users if the service has to change or diminish?
Ok, thanks for the insights. My guess is Lit has flown under the radar. When they get approached we will all know.
UK is just a picture and it figures out your age. US States require ID.
If they've outsourced their verification protocols to an antiquated Nintendo game, we're in serious trouble. In the case of Reddit, they've outsourced the verification to Persona
EXTREMELY invasive., it looks at your face.
Going to a bot says more about you than you think it does. Here is what chat...
I use a free private email called proton mail. They also offer a free vpn which I just installed and it's a breeze to set up. Once you're signed in and connected, any browser you use automatically goes through the vpn. You can also select either quick connect and it will route you through nearest, quickest available service or you can select a country to be connected through.
I use protonmail, but I don't recall any mention of a vpn
And that works on your phone too? I don't have any of my Lit or adjacent stuff on my laptop
Where did you get these numbers from ? lolLiterotica gets between 300,000 and 1,000,000 visits per day.

While there service is true, you must trust Proton, they are pretty trust-able, but just like google/gmail, proton can read your emails before they are encrypted on their servers for storageI use a free private email called proton mail. You do not get to choose "any country", on the free tier on Proton VPN, you are offered a limited number of countries (If I remember correct, that should be Japan/Netherlands and the USA), the speed is also throttled down, so you won't be getting near same level of internet speed if you have the VPN connected, its free so can't complainYou can also select either quick connect and it will route you through nearest, quickest available service or you can select a country to be connected through.
Those are conservative numbers. Most likely it's right in the middle.Where did you get these numbers from ? lol
Well I do not, but I would like to see the site stats, would be helpful if you could cite some useful sources with the site statsThose are conservative numbers. Most likely it's right in the middle.
It's not hard to figure out site's stats if you know what you are doing.
I'm sure the owners admins etc are super busy with all sorts of stuff. I doubt running Lit is easy ofcIf access to the site is blocked in any way, I hope we will at least get advance warning. So we can remove writing, say goodbyes etc. This is all happening very suddenly, it feels like no one's talking about it. So depressing....

Site's I checked put the numbers in the millions and you've mentioned numbers in the hundred thousands, so I'd like to verify credibility of which of these sources are close to the real number.
