I’ve only been on this forum for about a year, but my wife has been on for several years (She has now been banned) but so far I have had 2 hook ups and one was married. I myself said the same thing either earlier in this thread or maybe in another thread about men signaling sexual interest to each other.

So, it isn't zero. Of course men make eye contact with each other. But it's brief and not deep, unless they're either very close in some kind of established inter-relationship (not to say "relationship") with each other, or, they're signaling sexual interest to each other.

But your neighbor's wife might be comparing man-to-man eye contact in the wild (by which I basically mean "strangers" or even "acquaintances who aren't close") with the eye contact straight men give to women in the wild, or to the eye contact women give to each other in the wild. in which case, I don't think it's incorrect at all. Men look at women because they want to see, and they want to see if there's a reaction, a mutual look. Women look at women because women use the eyes to communicate. Men do very little of that, by comparison.

She said if you would pay attention you have people checking you out all the time when we are together.
I had no clue and that is when I started to pay more attention. I still find myself so caught up in my day-to-day that I don't slow down to pay attention but when I do men and women will hold eye to eye contact. More will also when doing so smile and say hi.
What's the next step though? I am the type of guy people get to know and then they can be comfortable. Many people tell my I am intimidating when they first meet me so that doesn't help when wanting to meet people.
