The Right, on the other hand, claims windmills cause tornadoes, kill whales, and drive folks mad with the sound. One even said they give whales cancer. You’d think those poor whales were hanging out under Texas turbines instead of swimming in the ocean. Those Righists, of course, are always right. Then some will be here to say they didn't say that, and if they did, they didn't mean it, and if they did, it was BIIIIIDEN!

Donald Trump has a personal hatred of Windmills, When he was developing luxury dwellings as part of his Turnbury golf course re-development in Scotland, he stiffed a bunch of local contractors and boasted about it. This prompted the Scottish first Minister (similar to Governor) Alex Salmond, no angel himself, to revoke the planned windmill construction licence for a site 20 miles down the coast and re allocate it right in front of Trump's development. Trump's luxury property sales collapsed and he was thereby forced to pay the previously dudded contractors .

Clearly, it didn't teach him a lesson. But, with this new piece of news, I can laugh along the next time he brings up windmills. Thanks for this news item. I tried Google to get more info but I wasn't able to find your references or anything other than Trump bought the lighthouse and turned it into a Presidential suite. Of course there were som irregularities about US airmen staying at the result during flights paid for by the armed forces.

It was big news in Scotland at the time. He promised to bring thousands of jobs to an area of high unemployment by desecrating an area of protected land with his beautiful hotels and golf course. The authorities caved in to his boasts and threats, then found that there were precious few local jobs created.

Standard mobster tactics by Trump, the only thing he didn't need to do was clear millions of brown people from the territory like he's openly stating about Gaza.
