I rarely post but do keep an eye on the thread. Just wanted to say Thank you Kit for the wonderful content. I still want to see more smiling laughing pics :)
 
Now that it's Monday and most people have had a chance to watch the race, I'll admit I was annoyed when they deployed the safety car for the rain, but I can understand not wanting a repeat of Melbourne and trying to avoid a red flag for a race that could have otherwise bumped against the 2 hour mark.

I was relieved when Stroll started slipping back in the order as he has no business being that far up, and further irritated that AM once again sacrificed Alonso's strategy. If they want him to stick around for '26, they better start trying to get him into positions where he can fight for podiums again. The whole grid knows he's an off-season flight risk. They won't get anywhere with Newey's design if Stroll is the #1 driver.

I fully understand why Oscar got that penalty, and it wasn't because Liberty wanted a Brit to win the British GP. The move was the same move that Russell pulled in Montreal, but because of the wet conditions and slow speed, had Max slammed on the brakes to stay behind Oscar, as I fully believe he'd have been able to on a dry surface, he likely would have at least pitched it sideways, potentially taking out Oscar as well.

Oscar's pit wall could have worked the strategy a bit differently to either stay ahead of Lando, or get him out closer, but I think Lando's team called their move perfectly. With the championship being so close, McLaren has no reason to favor one over the other. The call not to pull team orders was the right one.

Nico's podium was awesome, and I wish the coverage would have focused on him a bit more, but that's the British Bias when you're watching on F1TV or Sky. I did expect a little more animation from him though. The only thing that could have made it better would have been Daniel showing up and leading a "Nico 'UUUUULLLGGGEEENNBEERRLG" chant with the team, or Gabi returning the towel greeting favor".

I was bummed that he crashed. I had swapped Gasly out for him on my team, but I did bring in Hulkenberg for Hadjar. Sadly, I had RB as one of my constructors and that fucked me.

I have been getting a ton of dms from you all, albeit none from the ppl my message was actually referencing.
I didnt need a dm saying you still are aorund, or that you enjoy my thread or me or anything.
It was directed at the 3-5 or 6 ppl ONLY that left my thread without saying anything, who were once very active here, friendly, funny etc who now have decided to move on. And if it was simply a lit break, no worries. Its not.
So I was hoping theyd see my message and/or respond to my dms for a bit more closure as it induces my anxiety a bit when theres no closure with ppl I once considered friends, who for one reason or another just up and left.

That said, I super appreciate the messages of support and love, of silliness and horniness, or just plain honesty from many of you...thank you. Truly thank you. 🥰😘

Yeah I listen to Brundle and Crofty for the lights out/away we go part and lap one and then switch over so its a tiny bit less biased and usually better commentary.

The lego trophies were...questionable

I tried quite a few gelato spots in Florence and Rome, and the pistachio (my fave) there didn't do it for me :( The hazelnuts, and fruit gelatos were so so good..

hazelnut is def a good one to get. stracciatella is often a fave but pistachio is usually the best.
if you ever to go to siena or san gimignano... top shelf gelato there. and for some shocking reason, those are my two fave cities in italy. haha

Stracciatella! Omg how could I forget about that one!! Yessss.

I lived off of that - probably getting gelato 3 times a day when I was out in the hot sun and exploring the city. I'll add those cities to my to see next list. I'm heading back for sure in the next few years.

I did end up in Bagni San Filippo. Not too too far! There were really nice natural hot springs there.
