MAHA

I did not say our food isn’t safe. Some ingredients are not safe.
Ingredients that the FDA has said to be safe are safe at the levels suggested by the FDA.

There are ingredients in cereal that are also in antifreeze and the cereal is still safe with those ingredients.
You think the food manufacturers will pass on the minute cost it will take to add a warning label onto their label? If they did it would be a small increase.
It will not be small.
The current.food due ban will result in large price increases.

I don’t watch TikTok so I don’t know exactly what you’re talking about but I’ll take your word for it.
You don't have to take my word for it. You can simply discuss your concerns with your doctor and have them explain this to you

What ingredient is in cereal and antifreeze?

The warning labeling of foods containing acrylamide and lead did not result in higher food costs.

I do speak with doctors. That is why I eat healthy.

NiH is trustworthy. EWG is not. You should go directly to NiH for information. EWG lies.
I will click the links that EWG provides and read the NIH study and send you the NIH link later today if you are interested.

I'm not interested. You have read bullshit and you believe the bullshit. If you're truly concerned, talk to your doctor.

The banning of food dyes will have absolutely ZERO impact on our health. It will have absolutely large impact on our wallets.

I do talk with my doctor. He was pleased to hear I eat a healthy diet. He is a MD if you were interested.

I hear your concern about the impact on the cost of things. I do hope that doesn’t happen.

Trisodium phosphate
No. TSP is added to food? Oh jeez. I know that as a cleaning product people have to be careful with. That’s terrible.
Incorrect
I did not see a raise.
So you know that food dyes in our food are safe. Good to know
They caused hyperactivity in me when I was younger. It wasn’t the sugar amount, my parents switched my fruit roll ups for Trader Joe’s organic ones.

It's safe in the food it's used in

I did not see a raise.
You didn't notice a raise.

There is no definitive evidence that dyes cause hyperactivity.

I don’t believe that. If the cleaner is dangerous, there is no way it’s safe to eat.
This is the discussion you should have with your doctor so they can explain why you're wrong.

The FDA has deemed it safe in food.
Did you notice a raise? Do you have evidence?
I know there was an increase. Not interested in convincing you.

Except NIH studies I can provide to you later.
There are studies that suggest a link.
There are studies that suggest there isn't a link

Neiher provide definitive proof. Dyes are safe in food.

With that logic, I am not interested in convincing you either. Silly.

Why believe in the ones that there is no link?

Back to the price increase. Many parents tell their child “pick a cereal.” If the child was deciding between fruit loops and cherrios but the parent sees there is a warning on fruit loops, how is that not a good thing?

Do food dyes have a health benefit? I have not seen anything to indicate a benefit with them. Nor would TSP have a health benefit.

Cool. Have your doctor convince you

Why believe in the ones that there is no link?
Lol
Science.

Both are safe

They dont

They dont
So Cheerios have oats and fiber, so that would be the better option.

If a parent is choosing between Cheerios and a product that has a warning label, I hope they choose the Cheerios.

I follow the thought “food is medicine.” So foods that don’t have medicinal, healthy things should be avoided in my mind.

But to each their own.

If it is for you, then it is.
You can get oats and fiber from other things.

If a parent is choosing between Cheerios and a product that has a warning label, I hope they choose the Cheerios.
Food dyes don't make something worse. It just makes things brighter.

You're allowed. Banning something because you don't want it for you isn't a good approach imo

But to each their own.
Right. I like brighter colors. Banning them will make things less bright.

Hahah yeah you can have your brighter colors, and eat them too 😂

Nice debate.

  • Some food colourings (including yellow no. 5 and 6, and red no. 40).
  • Potassium bromate.
  • Sudan dyes.
  • Certain drugs used on animals, such as bovine growth hormone.
  • Brominated vegetable oils
  • Chlorine-treated poultry.
  • Rhodamine-B.
  • Azodicarbonamide.
  • Olestra.
  • Auramine.
Dyes are banned.
So? When Europe WILL NOT buy some American goods, it makes total sense give their science and according to our new medical experts but Amerikkka is trying to force them to buy Amerikkkan before we make any changes to our products?

Ok

That makes total sense

I can't, because you dipshits banned it even though there's nothing unhealthy about them.

You're ignorant about food additives. That's my criticism. I was never debating you.
How am I a dipshit?

Because you think food dyes are bad for you (they aren't) and you want them banned.
I said I would like them banned? I did not. I did not vote for a single vote on banning food dyes or food additives.

I approve of them being banned as Europe banned some and puts a warning label on others. You admitted there are studies that state they are harmful.

Europe has also banned pesticides that America keeps using. EWG pointed out there is a pesticide that was banned for golf courses but is used on farms. How does that make sense? It doesn't.

I do not really know what you are saying, sorry.
