DON's Yarn Barn and Creative Crafts Emporium

Hey, everyone! I'm Bunny! I spend most of my time in the BDSM section, but sometimes, I come to the PG, too.

Dawn let me know this thread exists, and I just had to post here. I crochet and loom knit (can't knit on needles to save my life), and I also do cross-stitch and hand embroidery. I got a rug tufting gun for Christmas, too, that I need to get off my ass and figure out how to use. And a Cricut machine. My crafting life is out of control, yo.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I'll probably post some pics here at a later date. :)

I wear crochet backed biking gloves because they feel cooler in sweaty summer weather. They are somewhat scarce now. Bike stores sell only solid fabric gloves. The crocheting becomes tattered long before the pads are used up, so I may eventually learn how to crochet to repair my gloves.

Or arthritis and various injuries may render me unable to bike and crochet.

Forget the tiny socks lol, let’s try an actual pair 🤍💜🩷🧡💛

(Yes it’s a bit wonky but it’s my first time with magic loop and I’m sure the second sock will come out perfectly 😋)
Ok, guess who had to start over? This girl. But that’s ok. Pictures? Pictures.

I actually prefer the purple cuff start to the white I had originally, but I still think I could use some practice with the casting on (German Twisted cast on) and maintaining consistent tension.

I made a tiny mistake - I cast on 72 stitches originally, but along the way there was some decreasing and somehow I wound up at 68 stitches 🫣 I think it’s alright, but I’m keeping track so I can try to recreate the same mistakes on the second sock and that’s 🤯

I’m enjoying magic loop, I have the smaller circular interchangeables and just couldn’t get the hang of them so I’m glad to have picked up this fixed set.

And a real sock is forming! I’m sort of winging it now, a tinyyyy bit. I think I’m going to change out the yarn for the toe section (as the yarn bundle did come with twooooo different skeins, this multicolour and a purple 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣 I forgot! Oops.)

Edit to add the pattern and the YouTube tutorial I’ve been following 🥰

Not an alarm, we have sock 😎 I know, I know, she’s amazing.

Ok, maybe not amazing but pretty good!! I think I could have gone a little further on the ankle portion of the ribbing before working on the heel but I was so darn excited I couldn’t help it. They aren’t meant for track races anyway!!!

Alright, sock #2 attempt 1 has already been undone, but I’m getting the hang of this. Need to line up the colours better but I can do it ☺️
