Lubricants

Don't use Astroglide. They changed the formula a couple of years ago and it's piss poor now.

Many cooking oils are going to be very hard to clean up and will lead to rancid smells if they aren't. Coconut oil is popular, though I myself don't like oil based lubes at all. Any oil based lube is NOT to be used with latex condoms, if you don't want them breaking.

Some people like silicone based lubes. I hate them for a lot of the same reasons I dislike oils, except it's even harder to clean than oil is. At least it doesn't go spoiled. If you have any silicone based toys, silicone lube will dissolve them even faster than oil dissolves latex condoms.

So, I'm basically always all about water-based lubes. They work with every type of toy and condom.

One that I like is the Fleshlight company's "Slide" lube. Since it's designed for anal, it's really THICK, so it doesn't squeegee off as easily as thinner ones.

For just-hands play, I really like Swiss Navy. It's a lot like how the original Astroglide was. Maybe even better.

If you say what you want to use the lube for and what you want to use it with, you'll get better, more specific answers.

Thanks that was some great advice I am all about natural sources so silicone is out of the question and I am surprised about the cooking oils being hard to wash off. I am contemplating fucking someone for the first time that is why I was asking.

You could also talk to your potential partner about their own experiences and preferences with lube. Unless they're a first-timer too.

Either way, any water based "personal" lube (euphemism for "sex lube") will do. Any pharmacy store will have them, right next to the condoms.

Any lube is better than no lube!

Thanks I didn’t know that I could find it in a drug store I thought that I would have to duck into a bookstore.
It will be his first time also we hooked up twice and it was the first time for the both of us and he expressed a desire to have me fuck him so I want to surprise him and have everything ready if we ever hook up again. He moved away and is back for a visit so if he can get away from his wife then we can put my plan in to action. I read your introduction and I really liked your candidness and knowledge so if you don’t mind next time I have a question I will ask you directly. I hope that you don’t mind and congratulations on having such an understanding wife.

Or ass! Or penis! Lube is a good place to spend the extra buck on.

K-Lube or Boy butter. Not a fan of coconut oil, it gets all over everything. Messy as hell.

Olive oil, as wondrous as it is, has a low smoking point. If you're getting some real piston action going, believe me, it's the last place you want to ignite a forest fire

Coconut oil is great except that it's almost a solid at room temperature. That problem got solved when she found a cup-size crock-pot at a yard sale. We turn it on at bedtime if one of us is feeling 'frisky' and buy the time we 'get to it' it's a warm slippery liquid.
