You are very much mistakenThat I will always be the consolation prize.
its actually kind of fabulous!Retiring early and living in the middle of the woods doesn't sound like such a bad idea.
I have that thought frequently. This is it. It's going to repeat forever. Just like Bill Murray in Ground Hog Day.
Every year, I get closer and closer to just buying a piece of land somewhere and living amongst the woodland creatures, away from people LOLits actually kind of fabulous!
Are you close to retirement age? Have an area picked out?Every year, I get closer and closer to just buying a piece of land somewhere and living amongst the woodland creatures, away from people LOL
I'm only 43, so not close to typical retirement age, but I've invested well and could technically retire, with some good planning. I'd like to retire outside of the contiguous US, so I've been looking at Germany, Portugal, Ireland, and Nova Scotia. Are you close to retirement age? Have an area picked out?
Have you checked out ScotlandI'm only 43, so not close to typical retirement age, but I've invested well and could technically retire, with some good planning. I'd like to retire outside of the contiguous US, so I've been looking at Germany, Portugal, Ireland, and Nova Scotia.

Same hope to make it there in the next couple of years golf tripI have not, but it's on my list of places to visit!
Nova Scotia is the land that time forgot in a good way. People make their own music and play cards for entertainment. I will always remember this story from when I visited in 1970. My second cousin told us about a black salesman walking around town, and the kids followed him because they had never seen person of color (my relatives lived in the sticks).I'm only 43, so not close to typical retirement age, but I've invested well and could technically retire, with some good planning. that being in the boat with my dog catching fish is still better than being at work even if its so hot that the aluminum boat will burn your ass.... I am kinda thinking those intrusive thoughts are on to something
lol thanks for the clarity, I guess I will be staying at work.So... You need your arse to be hot, red and in pain...
Well.. you need what you need.![]()
