A group of protesters, some in wheelchairs, were arrested and zip-tied on Capitol Hill and dragged out by police officers as they demonstrated against proposed cuts to Medicaid in Republicans' massive spending package.
Proposed cuts could mean that some 10 million low-income Americans would lose coverage over the course of the next 10 years. The legislation would also put in place additional work requirements for those using the program.
At least 33 people were arrested for “illegally demonstrating” inside the Russell Senate Rotunda, a Capitol Police spokesperson told The Independent on Wednesday.
So, no way are the cops not the bad guys here. Likewise any Congresscritter who votes for that bill.

I seem to remember that one pro Trump rally (protest if you like) wound up with Trump getting a bullet in the ear nearly killing him and the death/ wounded from an assassin’s bullets. You never saw riots in the streets. It was a solemn occasion that rallied the base with no demonstrations or civil disobedience like leftists loons do on a daily basis.

When conservative groups did it they were arrested and convicted wholesale. It doesn’t appear the wheelchair bound protester was harmed. Perhaps he was placed in protective custody for his own good. The source is vague at best and quite a performative exercise in yellow journalism, typical of the media to inflame emotional reactions, clickbait.
