The Aleutians... AKA the "Tropics of Alaska"
Worked with a woman who had a glass eye. She's long retired now. Coworkers told me a tale - she was helping a very unpleasant customer one day and "boop" her eye popped out and rolled across the counter. Changed the tone of the interaction. My buddy has a glass eye.
At the bars, when he goes to piss, sometimes he takes it out, sets it on the bar and says "Watch my drink."![]()
Tested? Until a few days ago, I'd never even heard of it.Yikes! Sounds very painful. Ever been screened for Ehlers Danlos yourself??
I think our crew dodged a bullet there... lots of "helicopter rides" over the years, but no socket injuries.![]()
They're beautiful!Hmm, Dutch Harbor, Alaska you say?? Wonder what their summer temps are like compared to here where we have Excessive Heat Warnings until late Sunday night.![]()
IAmazing kitty!! Mine always hid in the bathtub or closet... I knew to get ready to hunker down when they disappeared.... either that or it was Vacuuming Day

That's tough... I'm glad you're keeping things down now!Recipe review of sorts
Trying to get my fluids up without going to an er or infusion center so I thought that rice ramen might be good since things aren’t staying in and/or down that well even with zofran.
Since I only want to use the kettle and microwave because it’s too hot. I tried some rice vermicelli and it was awful so the threw the noodles out and drank the broth. Next I tried some pad Thai noodles in broth with a bit of soy sauce. The noodles were great, the broth seems salty but that could be from being dehydrated.
I added a nectarine and have now gone back to drinking the rehydration fluid. Everything is staying in and down so far which is great as it’s mid 90s out (35) and I’m not leaving my air conditioning
Thank you! That's tough... I'm glad you're keeping things down now!
Best wishes, thoughts and prayers![]()
Basically Bonsai can be done on just about any tree. Although some trees are better than others if attempting to prune one. Junipers, Figs, and Maples tend to be stars. Mainly due to ease of pruning and their forgiving nature. The juniper I did last year, I’ve tried to kill it every which way from Sunday, but she still hangs in there! That tree is right around twenty years old!Welcome to Sweltering SaturdayView attachment 2550108
But... they call it a Heat Wave... and it's moving...

How's everyone doing on this hot and humid day?
The massive scale of these machines is incredible!!
Andwhat @Boat1 said, too
Have a fantastic time with the guys, @Wonderer67
It will be for a while... different cadence to the day
But the clouder will rally... and so will you
Same... even with baseball. Watching "Just a bit outside" - movie about the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers.
Beautiful... so, can any tree be a bonsai with the right care and attention?
Storms stayed to the north of my area... we're set to break century-old records with high temps though.
Thank goodness for A/C!!!
Not just gardens... people, too
On the house - help yourselves

The idea is to recreate a landscape scene in a small pot. Bon (shallow pot) Sai ( planted tree) is how this ancient practice got its start. First in China and then Japan took it next level.
You should give it a try. It’s not as hard as it looks.
I have some help with zofran/ondasetron, and my other meds. This from a reaction and my gi mast cells, are in rejection mode.Your quite welcome!
It scares me when people can't hold anything down... please keep us posted.
