Isn't it interesting how MAGA folks, like her , get all fired up against foreign wars, especially when she called him out for even thinking about Iran, but they don’t seem to mind the endless drama and fights happening right here in the US?

“No more foreign wars,” she says… but what about the civil wars on Twitter and in real life? Is it perhaps they would rather engage in domestic wars against the people they detest? Hypocrisy much? Drop your thoughts!

The endless drama and fights here in the US don't usually involve wholesale slaughter.

But, leave it to a Progressive Democrat to champion mass death in the name of progress and social reform. It's their calling card.

It's pretty simple... America is the richest country in the world BY FAR. Should be scandanavian living standards really.

YET, the serfs get taxed and indebted to pursue global a agenda they disagree with, while being insulted every 4 years by being told they have a choice, according to a constitution that limits the power of the governors.

Worse yet, both parties have been captured for decades. That's why their debate is typically 35% vs 45% tax - Barack vs. Mitt Romney. They'll even throw in diversity, but the agenda remains.

Democracy is annoyingly slow. However, so long as it continues to work, and the state drifts away from the people. Eventually, the people push back and bring about a soft revolution. A lot to be said about whether revolutionaries deliver. But that's ultimately the Trump movement in a nutshell. Is Trump ideal - NO. But he is also a sign that the system actually works when the people get pissed off enough.

The powers that be assume they can push through a president with dementia twice; that they can allow corporations to run rampant against the public interest unchecked; that they can manufacture consent to send the children of the working class to go die in the middle east for nothing. As long as the system continues working, a snap back eventually occurs under such conditions. And thats why I am a begrudging supporter of functional democracy.

I wish it didn't take lifetimes to correct though.

Because they want to wage war against American citizens.

The reason the US is the richest country is because we don't have "Scandanavian living standards."

Someone has to pay for those "Scandanavian living standards" and that mean taxes. Which are based on not only the redistribution of the taxes back to the people who pay them, but ALSO the paychecks for the legion of do-nothing government employees who work for the office of government redistribution.

America understands that you get more, and it's cheaper overall, for you to DIY when it comes to personal financial health and comfort.

If you the money spent on military transferred to social programs the tax burden would remain the same.

Until some other country decided that they needed our wealth for themselves. At which point the depleted military would be overwhelmed.

The success of an economy should be judged by living standards, not GDP. More specifically, it should be judged by how low its poverty rate is.

Keeping healthcare & higher education out of the reach of poor people, cutting benefits, having tax breaks and allowing exemptions for military service for millionaires families. Arranging US-friendly coups in countries that produce oil, demanding rare-earth minerals from countries in a protection racket.

These are just a few of the policies that make some people in America rich.

True -- but what do they have to do with hating foreign wars?

Trump told them to hate foreign wars, by this time next week he'll be telling them to love foreign wars so they will. Because he imagines that a good war will boost he popularity ratings.

Well, many MAGAt politicians & media pundits are Russian stooges, and many common MAGAts are Russian sympathizers, so it’s not always obvious to the casual observer what their motivations / motives when it comes to the current hot wars in Ukraine and the Middle East:

With Ukraine, it’s obvious to most anyone why the MAGAt Russian stooges in Washington &! the media are "anti-war" (want to abandon Ukraine).

With Iran and the Middle East, it is less obvious (but Russia is interconnected / interdependent with Iran, and would be weakened by regime change in Iran - See also: Syria).

The MAGAt republican stooges in Washington D.C. and in the media are openly giving aid & comfort to Russian when it comes to Ukraine, and they are only slightly less transparent about undermining the needed / necessary regime change in Iran to appease their Russia masters.

And while DonOld is the main Russian stooge, Tulsi Gabbard, MTG, and Tucker Carlson, etc, are equally compromised.

👎

Hope that ^ helps.

That ^ depends on what Putin tells Trump to "think".

Good luck with that looney tunes idea.

At the moment, Republicans are divided about this.

She describes Trump as neither interventionist nor noninterventionist. His alignment is strength, power, etc. He is more practical than ideological, so he would know more than previous presidents when to back out of a war that doesn't have public support.

At present, no war will have public support if it puts us on the same side as Israel.

Because America has a habit of going in hard with best intentions and coming out tail between legs having done fuck all. Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan.

WWII would not have been the saviour scenario America loves to tout had it not been for the millions of Soviet dead and ruthless vengeance thereafter of the Eastern front.

Trump is weighing up in his head whether a big win with big bombs on Fordow and maybe taking out some ayatollahs will lead to a glorious PR win and returning Iran to the western fold, or just get USA embroiled in another messy unwinnable fucking middle eastern guerilla war with lots of dead boots on the ground.

Trump faces uproar from MAGA base over possible Iran strike

WASHINGTON, June 19 (Reuters) - The prospect of a U.S. strike against Iran has exposed divisions in the coalition of supporters that brought President Donald Trump to power, with some of his base urging him not to get the country involved in a new Middle East war.

Some of Trump's most prominent Republican allies, including top lieutenant Steve Bannon, have found themselves in the unusual position of being at odds with a president who largely shares their isolationist tendencies.

Ultimately, DonOld is going to do what Putin tells him to do; full stop.

🤬

Also:

A bunker buster strike on Fordo in no way locks the U.S. into a prolonged war with / in Iran. If anything, it could (would) probably resolve a major point of contention - though, admittedly, it is less than optimal; A regime change (with the new regime allowing for a complete removal of bomb making materials & dismantling of enrichment infrastructure) would be optimal.
