Los Angeles stands up to ICE

A lazy golfing criminal calling hard workers criminals.
Yeah, like criminals work their fingers to the bone in Hell degree heat picking crops for pennies an hour. Wouldn't they rather make millions dealing drugs for people like Eloon?

Funny how you never see these bullies targeting and arresting shady cheap business owners and farmers for hiring illegal workers. Wonder why? They are the ones who won't pay workers a decent respectable wage.

You thought you did something cute right there. You MAGAts lack creativity and common sense. Why aren't y'all scrambling for the jobs the immigrants do? You do know they help build the economy more than some Cheeto munching MAGAts on welfare right?

And he would make a better president than your dirty corrupt felon.

Back in 2011, the great state of Alabama enacted tough legislation that punished both undocumented workers AND the farms that hired them.

Needless to say, it did not go well.

Virtually every single undocumented worker decided to work that season in the sunny state of nearby Florida and the "poor" farmers were unable to get anyone to pick their crops. Alabama's agricultural sector took a nosedive that year, thousands of acres left to rot in the field and farmers went mewling and crying to their state reps.

That draconian legislation was promptly repealed before the next planting season.

Yep, the bold part right there. No surprise at all! Poor silly farmers, they keep voting to shoot themselves in the foot.

You're repeating what I wrote. Their roll is strictly defensive. If law enforcement request assistance from guard soldiers that is legal. Law enforcement has arresting powers. If protesters advance on guard positions threatening federal installations or federal employees they have the authority to restrain protesters. I've never seen guard troops totally isolated from law enforcement.
Yes, that's how it should work when they have been legally deployed. I understand that. You have a problem realizing this is not the case in the LA situation.
If guard troops are intervening with protesters it's either with law enforcement present or protesters have crossed the line threatening guard troops.

It's not routine, but protesters protesting ICE doing their job is not routine either.

You're blind.

Again you're blind.

No we're not.

The military has been been mobilized under title 10 and title 32 on many occasions. Stop watching CNN and MSNBC.
Stop watching CNN and MSNBC? Try reading the law. The military’s been mobilized under Title 10 and Title 32 dozens of times — Katrina, 9/11, COVID, and during the George Floyd protests. Nothing new.

What is new is what happened in Los Angeles: the National Guard was deployed before the local situation met the threshold that typically justifies federal intervention — and without the governor's formal request. That’s not standard procedure. Under Title 32, Guard troops operate under the governor. Under Title 10, they’re under the President. Trump bypassed protocol and sent in forces anyway.

The legal framework allows it, but the timing and unilateral action are what raised eyebrows. This wasn’t about stopping riots — those escalated after the Guard showed up. Maybe stop watching just Fox and try looking at the actual deployment orders and timelines.
Before these riots democrat leadership spent years defunding its police department. Bass and Newsom should be thanking Trump for bolstering LAPD.
No one should be thanking a felon for interfering in state affairs, especially when no request for assistance was made. Trump illegally interfered, breaching the division between powers reserved by the States, not granted to the Federal Government.

No one should be thanking a felon for cutting federal jobs without reason, cutting federal funds for Virus research, and other DOGE antics.

I envision one of the tanks losing a track and a Bradley dropping oil all over the parade route. These parade vehicles have probably been sitting in a motor pool yard for years.

all I got was google acting cute when I hit the link:

404.
That’s an error.

The requested URL was not found on this server. That’s all we know.
'that's all we know'

Libtards all blamed Trump for NOT calling in the National Guard on Jan 6.

Now Libtards are blaming Trump because he DID call in the National Guard.

Make up your mind, snowflakes!
Lol

here's another link in case anyone else had issues with yours:

Sen. Alex Padilla forcibly removed from news conference held by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in Los Angeles

After being forcibly removed from the room, Padilla said he was forced to the ground, handcuffed, but was not detained or arrested.

"If this how this administration responds to a senator with a question, if this is how the Department of Homeland Security responds to a senator with a question you can only imagine what they're doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California and throughout the country," he said.

I understand the law, you don't!

During the Floyd riots Waltz let his city burn. He reacted too slow. Using the Floyd riots as an example is quite comical. Trump let governors run the show and the results were a dismal failure. Billions in damages, businesses destroyed and people killed. Trump took the initiative and put Guardsmen on active duty status to protect federal real estate and government employees. They were put on site and were there if things got out of control.

I understand the law. What's old news is you see things through the prism of TDS. Trump did the right thing. Guardsmen never closed with protesters.

Federal!!!! It's a federal issue.
Trump illegally interfered, breaching the division between powers reserved by the States, not granted to the Federal Government.
Perhaps review the supremacy clause. Democrat leadership cannot be trusted to protect its own people. After all the fuckups California politicians have leveled against their people and your railing against Trump for being pro-active and well within his constitutional authority.
No one should be thanking a felon for cutting federal jobs without reason, cutting federal funds for Virus research, and other DOGE antics.
How do you know what the threshold was?.

Your TDS is shining through brightly.

Overwhelmed is quite a significant statement.
I'd like to see the interview you're referring to where the Chief said that. He didn't say anything like that in this one:
Riots on behalf of illegal immigrants benefit Trump and the Republican Party.
That's why Trump sent the NG in, to create riots out of peaceful protests. And to no one's surprise, it worked.

The pathetic thing is, you probably really believe the two are comparable in any way...

Google and Cloudflare, especially Google Cloud, have been experiencing massive outages the likes of which God himself has never seen today....scant months after the Orange Shitgibbon directed Federal Cyberprotection from Russia discontinued.

Poor folks who rely on "Google Home" to automate their households have it especially rough. Thermostats controlled by Google Home are inoperative. I predict a sadly large upswing in unattended stay-at-home indoor pets today.

While this is a good point (and I've said this myself) the situation on Jan 6 was actually much more serious- and violent- than what is happening in Los Angeles now. You had elected officials being threatened, and a peaceful democratic transfer of power being disrupted by people bent on installing an unelected despot. (And yes, Jan 6 was anything but peaceful- and you know it. So don't go there.) Now, you have a president who wanted to use the National Guard not in response to an emergency, but to quash any legal peaceful assembly.

Yes, exactly! Apples to apples!

Pleeeeeze, at least be honest with yourself. Protesters, counter-protesters, men from Mars, who fucking cares. His state was in trouble and he failed to act!
Hindsight's 20/20, and you weren't there. Walz called in the National Guard on the afternoon of May 28. Earlier in that day, there was reason to believe the worst was over and that the local cops were getting things under control. If you think you can do better, you're welcome to move to Minnesota and run for governor. Fair warning: the winters there are even harsher than New England ones (yes, I've lived in both regions).
