Fascinating. And you posted it, what, like 3 times? Does Repetition Matter? Are we incapable of scrolling or returning to a thread to bask in your knowledge? At least make an effort to make it interesting. Right now, I've got TWO WHOLE THREADS based on a single, off-the-cuff comment.

MAGA are like children under 6 years of age. Repetition allows them to scream BUILD THE WALL and say RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA with clueless conviction.
The sooner the DNC learns from the example of members on this very forum the better!

Also, seeing as how this is a political forum, it is a childish behavior having a grown assed adult give their opinions but refuse to say what and who they vote for after being asked repeatedly. Don’t you agree?

This is clearly important to you. Welcome back! I applaud your use of Free Speech.

Much depends on what is happening domestically and internationally. On the homefront, time will tell. given the on again, off again trade/tariff programs. Immigration issues will play a part in who is left to the dirty work of working in the fields or low-end service work. Consumers are buying less and looking for cheaper brands. Time. It hasn't been a fill quarter since liberation day was announced. Internationally with wars in the Ukraine and now Israel bombing Iran, oil prices jumped and markets around the world are negative. One day doesn't make a trend so time to see how investors react. Bonds are going the wrong way and so if foreign exchange as well. Time will tell in the next few months and quarters.

Tariffs, inflation, immigration chaos, war in the Middle East, Ukraine. Etc…

…and the markets continue to climb the wall of worry…as they normally do.

I just have to ask. What is it with this “who did you vote for” thing? Do you think that’s normal behavior? Nothing about having to know who someone voted for is normal. In your weird echo chamber you live in, you might think that’s rational…but it’s really not. It’s very odd to say the least.

Should everyone wear an arm band stating who they voted for? Maybe a tattoo… Oh wait, the Nazis did something similar.

Your weird hatred for anyone who doesn’t think like you or vote like you is very disturbing to be honest. It definitely wreaks of Hitler vibes.

Also, I thought the democrats were the party of tolerance?

Republicans know Trump is a train wreck and they’re trying to escape being held responsible for electing him.

Tariffs, inflation, immigration

Sheez. THIS asswipe AGAIN. :poop:

BSG? Who did you vote for? You certainly have a right NOT to answer that question nut if you were on a political forum, like this one, and started advocating for a position - any position really, but let's say for abortion doctors to be charged with murder and imprisoned, ok? What would, I dunno, a ride-n-die maga christian think if you voted for Harris? No need to get back at me with an answer regarding credibility. We both already know.

I can't say for certain I know who this idiot here actually voted for, if at all (now how would THAT look?):unsure:
But I sure got an idea for who he DIDN'T.

First off, the idea of imprisoning a doctor for doing an abortion is insane. Any sane person would agree with that.

The real issue is there are a minority of far right extremists and far left extremists(that would be you). And most of the population falls in the middle. It’s just that the far left and right are just super vocal (again, that would be you).

Most people are just normal everyday working people that don’t really get out there on the fringe. They don’t really agree with the crazy ideas on the right or the left. They also don’t say much so you don’t hear from them (unlike you. You seem to go on forever with your negative and rude comments).

I live in Florida and I don’t see any crazy maga people anywhere. I just see normal everyday people walking around and working. No crazy far right or left people to be found….because they’re the minority. And they’re the minority for a reason…because they’re a little crazy

🙄

CRAZY DonOld & the CRAZY MAGAt republicans in elected office were voted in by MILLIONS (70 to 75 MILLION in DonOld’s case) )of CRAZY right wing radicals.

One would have to be a CRAZY right wing radical to vote for CRAZY DonOld & the CRAZY MAGAt republicans.

And it isn’t like there weren’t some RELATIVELY sane right wing options - like Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, etc, in 2016, and Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, etc, in 2024 - but noooooo, the MILLIONS of CRAZY right wing radical voters went with CRAZY DonOld & the CRAZY MAGAt republicans.

Me too. Agreed.

Is anyone seeing inflation from the tariffs? Does anyone have an example of something that has went up because of the tariffs? I’m truly curious

Tariffs seem like a nothing burger…we get $40 billion revenue(May and June) in 2 month from tariffs and no inflation. Everyone has already forgotten about those so quickly.

World War III has been postponed. We bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities and they called us to tell us they were going to retaliate to save face. They fired 14 missiles that were all intercepted from hitting an American base. Then they called a ceasefire.

I don’t know about you guys, but I think the fear and negativity is over. Oil prices aren’t reacting…which if they did would give away something bigger happening. Everyone seems to know the Middle East conflict is over.

I regret to tell you that middle eastern peace is upon us. I know some of you will hate that since you want constant chaos, but brighter days are ahead for all middle eastern countries. They will all prosper from here.

And by the way, U.S. markets are about to skyrocket. Buy the dip!!! Don’t let your political opinion cloud your mind. We’re going higher!!

I haven't and probably won't read all 15 pages of this thread.

The $ is losing world reserve currency status. That is a big reason for much of Trump's action: he is planning for a national bankruptcy, the default on federal government debt. Many more federal employees will be fired to knock spending down to what the government can pay. His business experience with bankruptcy is a key part of his resume, why so many business leaders backed his campaign.

Tariffs are part of a transition, and may later be dropped as they become unnecessary. Rebuilding local economy now while it's optional is easier than later when fossil fuels become too expensive for global trade. Many office workers and all sorts of people adding complexity without value to goods and services are losing their jobs and dropping down the ladder into poverty. Fear of poverty and losing status is why so many people here are so vicious in their attacks on anyone who disagrees with them. Most of their work will be dropped as unnecessary, and some of it will be done by software, for a while, until the electricity becomes too expensive. The new middle class will be skilled tradesmen, mostly self-employed, the people who learn useful skills to make and repair what we use, in apprenticeships, trade school, community college, etc., not the four year institutions with lifetime student loan debt.

agree on the dollar losing its stature but not sure trump is planning on bankruptcy, more like it will be a by-product of his policies and actions/in-actions. tariffs will be a part of his negotiating tactics since it is something he can use to shakedown other countries and make a buck off if it due to the american consumer paying the tariff. re-shoring will be a term thrown about but with little substance. the disparity between have and have-nots will continue to grow and yes people will lose their jobs to technology. interesting take on trades. maybe, depends how motivated the masses will be to try and earn a living once their government support has gone away.

That’s a lot to unpack!! But again, it seems negative

“The dollar is losing world reserve currency status”…Sure, maybe long term, but right now over 60% of the world operates in dollars. Countries take loans in dollars. It will take decades at best for the dollar to go away as the currency of the world.

Does Trump want to make the dollar weaker? Yes, it’s better for world trade. A strong dollar is like a wrecking ball for the rest of world. Weaken the dollar and increase trade is his play.

I do agree about tradesmen becoming a big thing. A lot of these college jobs will probably go away due to AI. Plumbers and electricians though will always be needed.

If the strait of Hormuz would be blocked, oil prices would spike.

They went up just due to the possibility.
Oil would spike and China would be pissed. China is their ally and would never let them close it for any length of time. This is all just tough talk
