What’s your most controversial opinion?

I’m sure there are body types and outfits that wide leg pants are perfect for and look great, but my controversial opinion is that those are few and far between 🤷‍♀️

I’ll be even more controversial and rank the cuts for women! 😂 Of course, this is only my personal preference.

Flare > boot cut > skinny > boyfriend > wide leg
I loved flares, back in the late 70s and late 80s. Comfortable.

Boot cuts and boyfriend jeans are my faves. I don't have the shape for skinny to look good really. I like wide leg for trousers though

The new rule changes make LIT better 🤣 🤣 🤣
For the most part but the users here who like to make artsy pics of themselves and post should be allowed to, after all there is a lot of erotica in words everywhere on this site, should that also be removed ? I used to go into threads that piqued my interest and all it was was pictures (not porn so much) of people that looked really good and could evoke some sort of "mmm.. that's nice" response. The only problem is/was these pics were of people that were either exploited or agreed to having their pic taken but in all probability never agreed to having their pic on Lit. There's also lot's of studio type glamour pics also shown here, there's definitely copyright issues around that, even if the pic was sourced from a website that made it seem like public domain, the original copyright still stands. Therefore Lit could be seen as generating revenue from copyrighted material, not a very good position to be in legally.

I will reiterate that users should be allowed to post their own pics in threads that are created for that use, that's just my opinion but the site isn't exposed to any legalities as long as 18 is the entry criteria, which it is. I am speaking from a persons point of view outside of the USA, where freedom seems to have a completely different meaning. :)

I agree with the both of you!

But mostly I am actually content and it feels way more relaxed with the new rules.

Firstly: I truly bugs me when the copyright is not respected.

Secondly: while it is fun to post pictures, I am not sure that it is all that healthy? Some people tended to become extremely competitive, that one upping eachother? It is not all that charming.

Thirdly: many people were under the belief that posting pictures on the internet was a safe thing to do, that no one would ever download them.
Kinda hypothetical when people like to post pictures they themselves have downloaded or linked from the internet.

Fourthly: people positing pictures of underaged or unknowing third parties.. That is just yucky as hell.

So while there may have been some people who liked posting artsy pictures of themselves, I am still going to be in favour of this change of rules!
As people clearly were not able to handle the freedom and responsibility that followed.

My conclusion: if people want to post pictures of themselves, then I am sure that they are going to find a way to do so.
But it makes things a whole lot easier and better with the new rules.

I was being silly, it's not an important opinion to me. I look at it from the view of the Admins, they volunteer to do an ungrateful task and no matter what decision is made, someone is going to be upset at them.

The downloading and probably screenshot of pics have made people feel guarded, which probably has been happening since the site opened.

I never thought it was a big deal, as this sites main focus is the written word and personalities matter more to me. Even though sexy pics are sexy to look at, it's not my main focus of attraction.

I don’t understand why anyone would want to keep a posted pic of a Litster.

At various times I had pics that various lovely ladies had actually sent to me. But even then, I don’t deliberately keep pics of anyone I dont feel I still have that relationship with.

The downloading and saving of other people's pictures.

Well, personally I do not get it, so I am the completely wrong person to ask - I do not like to download pictures or videos from the internet.
I even tend to delete my own pictures after I used to post them here. Not seeing the point in saving them.

But!
The moment you upload anything to the internet, someone will download it.
For what reason, I have no clue. But I am not that naive to believe any place on the internet to be "a safe place for posting pictures".

And I really do not want to waste my time trying to understand, discuss, convince.. trying to change the way other people think and act.

As long as they are not doing anything illegal, then I do not see why I should get so worked up.

Now a whole different, and waaaaaaaay more serious side of this "posting pictures"

Our hard working and almost inhumanely consistently attentive moderators, they have been tasked with that ungrateful job it was to find all of those pictures that crossed the line of being legal.

And while most people only care about the lint in their navels and what they are going to have for dinner.

Then I am glad that this place no longer is going to be an easy forum, where you can share pictures of your unknowing and innocent: nieces, stepdaughters, neighbours, girlfriends, wives.. ex-partners .. and the list goes on.

Sometimes, people really ought to look up and see the bigger picture.

This site could so easily have been closed and investigated.

No pictures?
That is more than ok with me.

Like @Neanderthal247 said, I care more about personalities than I do about pictures.

The unknowing people having their pics being posted without consent is a major thing, especially on a erotica site. The copyright pics are also an issue for the website.

One of the very well known “creepy” Litsters once told me he had printed a face pic that I posted and had put it in a frame on his bedside table. I don’t think he actually had but I did ask him to get rid of it as he didn’t have my permission to do that.

I don’t keep any “sexual” pictures that I have been sent. To me they are there for that moment and not for future reference. Other pictures that I have been sent such as scenery, hobbies, etc., I still have most of those.

I have a son (currently 21) and he has grown up in the world of instant photos, social media, etc. I have always told him that he should never send any nude photos of himself and if he received any of anybody else, he should delete them immediately. Hopefully he has listened. I think it is important to have those discussions with our children. The world is becoming so much more dangerous to the vulnerable and we need to give them as much guidance to stay safe as we can

Absolutely!!
The world is a minefield these days. The world changes so fast.

I’ve had similar conversations with my kids also. But they got their biggest wake up call when pics of lady in their year, got spread around the school. I can’t imagine how she must have felt.

They do deserve a round of applause actually. And presumably different countries have different laws and if Lit does not comply, it will end up blocked. Which would be a terrible shame.

And some of the pics people post, leave me unsettled. Just because someone says they have the consent to post the pic of a third part, doesn’t mean it’s true. They don’t appear to be motivated enough to post the pics themselves. Not saying it’s not true. But it adds more doubt than usual.

This is..I have no words, just ick and yuck on every parameter!! Ugh!!

Sceneries and hobbies! 🤩 That is worthy of being kept!

Just as I do not find it interesting at all, to look at the pictures I have posted on this site.. I do not imagine that I would find it interesting to look at another person's picture after a moment had passed.

Again, I might be weird like that, but.. I do not see the point or attraction.

🙌🏻 This!! So much this!!

Being a mum of two girls. Soon to be teenagers.. gosh, this is a tricky water to navigate in, but I believe in being open and available, always ready to answer questions or just talk, when that is needed.

The Danish laws are unforgiving.
- even teenagers have been prosecuted and convicted for sharing pictures!

You are even a suspect by association if you see something illegal and you do not report it.

Truly, having the privilege to share pictures comes with a huge responsibility. First to keep yourself safe, but also to look out for others.
It is a community thing to keep the group safe and as secure as possible.

We have had cases like that too in Denmark.. after the authorities showed that your age really does not matter (you will have to go to jail, if you are over 15 years old, when you get convicted!).

And a both boys and girls who were a part of sharing the pictures, they all had to stand in front a judge, and most had to do jail time.

Well, it seems that there is way, way less picture sharing going on, it is actually quite frowned upon!!

As it is right now, there was a guy who got convicted for: creating AI child pornography.

Our laws may allow us a ridiculous high level of freedom.
But do not get fooled, we have freedom within the limits of the laws.
And the limits are non-negotiable.

I am sufficiently boring as to not mind this too much. I’m just pondering whether is too severe on horny teenagers?
I guess …if you have empty schools and full prisons, it may be a problem. But I suspect your teens learn quickly!

I’m curious what your thoughts are on this? Is the balance about right?
