MUSK GOES ROGUE! Denounces Trump Budget Buster Reconciliation as an "Abomination"

The overwhelming problem, as I said, is time. Using current technology it would take 6,300 years to fly to Proxima Centauri, the nearest star not counting the Sun. Even at the speed of light it would take 4.22 years (and the same time to return).
Twilight Zone episode
"The Long Morrow".
Here's a summary of the episode:
  • Plot: An astronaut, Douglas Stansfield, embarks on a 40-year space mission in suspended animation. Just before leaving, he falls deeply in love with a young Space Agency employee named Sandra Horn.
  • The Dilemma: He's told that his suspended animation will allow him to return to Earth without aging, while everyone else will have aged 40 years. This creates a heartbreaking dilemma regarding their future together.
  • The Twist: When Stansfield returns, he discovers that Sandra, deeply in love with him, had herself placed in suspended animation so they could be together. However, Stansfield, heartbroken by their separation, had disabled his own suspended animation system years into the mission, causing him to age normally.
  • The Ending: Stansfield returns to Earth as a 70-year-old man while Sandra is still young. The accompanying new scientists at the landing site inform him they had already learned about what they sent him out to find. It was through advanced scientific tools and research. His trip was unnecessary, indicating the effort wasn't needed. It was a matter of time before science caught up with what they wanted to know, not exploration. Sandra and Douglas faced each other at the landing site, the elderly and the young. She left him standing there, not wanting to be married to an old man; she turned and walked off. He shuffled off stage after them, a broken-hearted man.

  • The episode concludes with a poignant reminder of the power of love and the sacrifices people make for it, even when those sacrifices lead to unforeseen consequences.

Ka$h, who used to say the Epstein files could be released "in a day" before he became the felon's puppet now says that he wants no part of this conversation.

IT'S LITERALLY HIS FUCKING JOB.

Not quite relevant:

There is no replacing / substitute for actual humans getting out there and physically colonizing other planets, moons & solar systems in self sustaining numbers.

Also:

The primary point (imho) of space travel & colonization of other planets / moons is to avert the annihilation of the human race by an extinction level event on Earth.

Don’t put all your eggs in one planet…

👍

Those are all valid points and forward-looking ideals.

Time isn't on my side. As my time here grows shorter, I wish that we, as humans, put more emphasis on caring for people and our resources. We must improve the quality of life here foremost.

I keep hearing people say we must pour money into space exploration to escape Earth if it ever becomes uninhabitable. But here’s the thing — if we can’t figure out how to sustain life here, with everything already working in our favor — breathable air, drinkable water, a functioning ecosystem — what makes us think we’ll survive on Mars or anywhere else?

The truth is, our odds of long-term survival don’t improve by running away from our problems. They improve when we invest in solving them.

If we focus on improving quality of life here and now — things like healthcare, education, infrastructure, environmental sustainability — we’ll build a stronger economy, better technology, and a more stable society. Then, down the road, if space colonization makes sense, we’ll actually have the tools and resources to do it right.

But throwing billions at space while people on Earth go without clean water or decent housing? That’s not visionary — that’s negligent.

Let’s fix what’s broken here first. Survival begins at home.

Extinction events? At my age, I worry about little things like NARC or kidney failure that take us one at a time.

TRUTH POST by President Donald J. Trump – June 6, 2025 – 5:42 PM ET

Just saw an INCREDIBLE message — very wise, very thoughtful — about how we need to take care of EARTH before we waste trillions flying off to Mars or WORSE. It’s EXACTLY what I’ve been saying while Sleepy Elon (he's not Iron Man, folks — he's more like Tinfoil Man) was busy torching Tesla stock and burning satellites into the ocean.

Let’s be honest: if we can’t fix potholes in Pennsylvania, what makes you think we’re going to build condos on Mars? I said it FIRST — survival starts at HOME. We made Earth GREAT AGAIN and we’re doing it AGAIN, again — bigger than ever. Clean water. Booming economy. ENERGY DOMINANCE. People have never been so proud to live on Earth. Except maybe the people living in Elon's imaginary Mars colonies — which, by the way, are about as real as his AI girlfriend.

The TRUTH is: we don’t run away from problems. That’s what losers do. We solve them. That’s what TRUMP does.

And now Elon is out there melting down — calling me names because we won’t fund his Martian midlife crisis. Sad! He’s mad because I said the Mars project was a DOG with fleas — and let’s face it, he's jealous of Space Force, which I CREATED. He copied me like a nerd in shop class. Except I built the rocket, and he just tweeted about it.

Don’t get me wrong — I like rockets. Big fan of rockets. But right now we need HEALTHCARE, ROADS, REAL JOBS — not flying to dusty red rocks with no Wi-Fi and no McDonald’s. Fix Earth. That’s the Trump Doctrine.

Let the billionaires play with their toys. We’ve got work to do — right here, where it counts.

So the guy who still thinks windmills cause cancer is suddenly worried about infrastructure? Cute. 🤡🌍

Trump calling Mars a "dusty rock" is peak Boomer energy. Meanwhile, I built reusable rockets, launched global internet, and personally moved the needle of civilization. What did he do today? Yell at clouds and post half a sentence in ALL CAPS.

Also — let’s talk Tesla stock. It didn’t "plummet" because of me. It plummeted after Trump’s idiotic tariff tantrum nuked the EV supply chain (again) and he called batteries “witchcraft.” Hard to sell cars when your president’s energy policy is “drill and yell.”

And FYI, Don — I saw your name pop up in the Epstein flight logs. Maybe focus on gravity before throwing stones at Mars. 🛬✈️🍕

Oh, and if you keep tanking our space budget while handing trillions to defense contractors and casino bailouts, don’t be surprised if SpaceX pulls the plug on your entire orbital defense grid. Let’s see how strong Space Force is with zero launches.

Starlink off for Mar-a-Lago tomorrow. ✌️

He must have been paying a compliment when he called Kim Jong Un ‘Rocket Man’.

But just imagine a world where Trump can't have a McDonald's.

Yep. I realized that, after I got devilish with the world yesterday. Maybe my meds. Yeah, the meds; that's the reason. Still, it has his tone. I think I got that right.

I forgot to use the Lit lunacy font, too.

Back to the 'How to write fiction,' online classes, I guess. :nana:

So, is this bill going to pass?
Are we still talking here about the state that is ruled by the great and God-given leader and his immeasurable counselling single-handedly and on the basis of what he happened to see while zapping on foxnews?
I don't understand your question.

Of course Trump will sign the bill if it passes. But will Congress pass it? Even the Republicans seem iffy.

But we are still talking about the party that not only elected a convicted criminal who couldn't even organise a coffee kitchen, but also ousted all internal critics? The party that no longer has any members who have at least a hint of decency and morals?
What's your best guess?

trump's threatening musk with "very serious consequences" if he uses his money to help dem candidates fight against republican ones. He didn't say what those consequences might be... guess it's only ok when musk invests $290M in getting trump elected, no-one else.

(Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump, in an interview with NBC News on Saturday, said there would be "serious consequences" if billionaire Elon Musk funds Democratic Party candidates to run against Republicans who vote for Trump's sweeping tax-cut bill.

Hard to say -- I should think many Republicans share Musk's criticisms of the bill.

It’s ridiculous that Trump threatens private citizens and businesses, and the MAGA sheep happily go along with it. They’re all authoritarians pretending to be conservatives.
