Bits of advice for living with Literotica (especially the forums.)

I've been wanting to share this bit of advice for a while, but it didn't seem to belong anywhere. So I'm making this thread. Perhaps other people can contribute.

My bit of advice is to scroll down the list of posts in forums you watch to see if some of your favorite threads are bolded (indicating that there are unread posts in the thread). I do this every few days. For a long while I thought the "watch" mechanism was broken, but some nice person here explained that if you accidentally don't read a post (or mark it as read in the Alerts list) the alert can scroll out of your site and you can forget about the thread.

About every six months or so, I go through all the subforums and use the "Mark Read" button to re-set all my Watches so I start getting notifications again for the ones I have missed.

Yes, doing this marks every thread as Read, but it's a worthwhile work-around.
