So, is the Lyme discovery new for her? IIRC she was just tested, right?


That sort of stuff is really annoying. Suffer from somewhere similar stuff, and can say having long term constant pain is a bitch!

Send her , and tell her I hope she has a quick recovery.

She was tested on. Monday but it was a full panel, like 10-12 seperate tests.

I have had a chronic pain thing going on all spring. (I mean my back always hurts, but this has been progressively worse).

Now I am having the same pain she is at night. Hops, IT bands, si joints. I’m gonna go to the doc in the am.

Mrs wonderer has Lyme myalgia, which is severe muscular skeletal pain from Lyme.

Weirdly she is fine during the day, but the minute she stops moving her arm and back and hips and legs hurt.

So continued doxycycline. It’s a powerful medication.

At least, with a proper diagnosis, she will, hopefully, be on the road to recovery soon.

Went for walk this morning but didn't have my phone with me. Saw that the blackberries around the barn are starting to turn. Not ripe yet but already black in color. Don't ask me how I know they are not ripe. Yuck!

Yes Ma'am, I'm aware of the warnings about Comfrey, but big pharma hates natural remedies, so the testing done on lab rats, would be the equivalent of me eating bales of Comfrey.

I'm not familiar with it. I did a cursory search. Still, be careful. The liver can heal itself and regenerate, but only up to a point.

Thanks as those exercises are exactly what I need. Fortunately there is no numbness or weakness. I plan to discuss it with my PCP and getting some PT is a good idea.

Good morning all. The exercises are helping my back. Thanks to all for the suggestions. I’m also seeing the doctor to get some PT.

Nothing special today just relaxing and watching some baseball. My Tigers have the best record in baseball!

I'm glad the exercises help. They are the same ones a physical therapist taught me years ago. They work like magic! You might also try an exercise ball. I have a large one. I sit on it then lay back stretching my back. Just rolling around on it feels marvelous!

...if y'all could only see a brief clip of my life as a "gearhead"... washing aircraft parts elbow deep in 100 octane leaded fuel, covered in nearly every petrochemical and drilling fluid you can imagine, enough straight liquor to float a battleship.... I don't think it's going to be the occasional use of Comfrey that takes my liver out.

Just be sure to give your liver some rest periods!

Went closet shopping yesterday and found an outfit for this wedding. The only $ I have to spend is on a new tie. I wans’t even going to wear one, but the invite said Formal Attire. I feel like I can get a couple drinks in the bag after the ceremony and shed it. Any wedding planners out there with some advice?

Pitting cherries for jam
What a pain
And my fingers are red

I have a six hole pitter. I still have to check each cherry to make sure the pit clears. I'm a bit OCD about it. I've found an easier way is to freeze the cherries then defrost. They can be pitted in the bag by squishing them.

Place the cherry stem-side up on the opening of a bottle. Push the pit out with a chopstick or reusable straw.

Pop the cherry in your mouth and spit out the seed. Go to the store and buy a pie...much easier.

I usually end up eating at least half the cherries I buy before I can make anything with them.

Just work. I had a consult with an oral surgeon after work. I had no root canal tooth that broke. I just saw. I left it in there, and when I went for my cleaning last week, my dentist was like, “that’s still there? Get rid of that thing!”

Set a date for August 7 with my two big project deadline dates will be passed by then.

Watched a couple episodes of Jeopardy and made the missus some salad for dinner. (of course you know that I offered to toss her salad… But was rebuffed.)

She got some of her bloodwork results in today and she definitely does have some type of Lyme. The rest of the blood panel should be done tomorrow. They put her on doxycycline.

We’ve been sleeping separately, because of her bad arm.

I'm so sorry she has Lyme. Please tell her to take ALL of the antibiotic once started. Not taking it all can open the door to bacteria mutating into antibiotic resistant organisms.
