The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I've never tried this, Boat. It has both willow bark and comfrey in it. Willow bark has a compound similar to aspirin and has been used for centuries for pain and fever reduction.

Comfrey has also been used for wound healing as well as muscle and joint pain. It is hepatotoxic, however, meaning it can cause liver damage. Most countries have outlawed comfrey as an oral medication. If it is used for muscle pain, I would recommend limiting its use and checking with one's Healthcare provider.

Does anyone know the symptoms of arthritis in the lower back and how it’s different from lower back pain? Yes I have been having lower back pain especially in the morning and today it’s lasting longer than usual.
The symptoms of both can be similar. If you are experiencing nerve pain, numbness, or weakness of either (or both) your legs, it could point to spinal disk impingment of a spinal nerve. Commonly called a "slipped disk," it is actually a bulging or protruding portion of disk material that puts pressure on the nerves.

Your provider can schedule you for an imaging study to try to find the cause of your pain. Ask for a physical therapy referral. They are wizards with back pain. Here is a link to some exercises that may help:

Yes Ma'am, I'm aware of the warnings about Comfrey, but big pharma hates natural remedies, so the testing done on lab rats, would be the equivalent of me eating bales of Comfrey.

Thanks as those exercises are exactly what I need. Fortunately there is no numbness or weakness. I plan to discuss it with my PCP and getting some PT is a good idea.

Please heed the warning. The lab rat studies are also designed to determine the mechanism of toxicity. In this instance, the fact that it affects the liver is the critical thing. Clearly, taking very limited amounts gives your body a chance to detoxify the chemical. However, prolonged or excessive use could result in definitely permanent damage to liver. We’re just trying to help.

Did she have pain before the massage? She might have a muscle spasm. They can hurt like hell. If it's new pain since the massage, I would tell her to go back to the therapist and tell them. They can assess the situation. They may prescribe some stretching exercises for her. 🫂🫂
She did just that yesterday.

She said she felt a bit better but thought it might take a long time to get back to no pain.

She slept thru most of the night, for the first time since Saturday, so that was good.

Thanks!
I appreciate the help as well, I assure you!
...if y'all could only see a brief clip of my life as a "gearhead"... washing aircraft parts elbow deep in 100 octane leaded fuel, covered in nearly every petrochemical and drilling fluid you can imagine, enough straight liquor to float a battleship.... I don't think it's going to be the occasional use of Comfrey that takes my liver out. 🤣

She did not sleep thru the night. More pain. I am urging her to go to the docs today. Her Lyme test results should be back.

Send her my best, please... I'll be sending positive thoughts, vibes and prayers!
Will do. She is stubborn a former medical professional herself (xray and ultrasound) and into home remedy’s overall recitative medicine.

She’s never in pain or sick and a bit anti doc and anti medicine, so i am concerned for her.

But I made her go to the docs today.

She had a a very sensitive body so she is adverse to taking things she does not know.
