How do we get images restored?

Posting this here because I cannot find any site-policy forum.

In their zeal to make the Lit SFW, the mods have not only banned nude pics, they have made it impossible to display any pics or images in a thread -- if you try to post one, only the link will be visible.

How do we get this changed back?

Not all pictures are being censored, but most are, but all NSFW pictures are being quickly deleted by mods.

They seem to have made it permanent. @ToPleaseHim is a mod and has done quite a few responses on it. The owners made the decision.

Yeah, it is kind of random at this point. A meme was allowed in PB just a bit ago, so who knows.

Yeah @ToPleaseHim is a mod. There are others, I just can't remember their names. Sorry for the second tag, @ToPleaseHim !

Moderators are not able to make any changes with regards to this. The changes have been made and are being made by the site owners. I don’t have any further insight into the changes, but I have noticed that most images are appearing as links.

Our Right to Free Speech is unchanged. However, here on Lit, it is less free than it used to be. Local censorship, if you will. People are no longer allowed to do a thing they used to be able to do.

is it a cartoon you made yourself?

the majority of picture content posted to these forums are not the personal property of the people posting them. There is a rule in Lit's faqs that state any images posted directly (not via a link) should belong to the poster and perhaps this blanket ban allowing links only is the result of most people ignoring that... at the same time it protects the site from legal issues.

the mods can't change decisions made by the site owners.

you can, however, directly PM mods about other issues; if you click on any of the forum names, the mod/s of that forum should be posted at the top of its page. If you click on their names, a screen prompt should appear asking if you want to send them a message. I'd have to go back and check that but you can look for yourself. If no mod name is listed at the top of the page of a forum, it is 'unmoderated' which means the owners deal with issues they think worthwhile on them.
