I think they will too, but winning one small battle in a larger war won’t matter. They’re getting clobbered. They'll win in court.

Yes, the administration has shipped research and development to Canada and China.I think they will too, but winning one small battle in a larger war won’t matter. They’re getting clobbered.
Trump will be gone sooner. He's already barely functional now. If he doesn't flat out leave this world on his own account before his term is over, then at least at some point he will be forced out because it will have become all too obvious that he can't handle the job "anymore".Trump will be gone by the end of the decade. He's a mere here today - gone tomorrow mobster appealing to the White Supremacist electorate.
Harvard will still be here at the end of the century.
What specific research projects have been shipped to Canada and China?Yes, the administration has shipped research and development to Canada and China.
Good point![]()
The majority. What specific research projects have been shipped to Canada and China?
So no identified research projects. Got it.The majority.
Funding has been removed across the country and both Canada and China are opening their coffers ..... Scientists are currently moving.
Should make murica great and such
LolSo no identified research projects. Got it.
I’m sure you think the only research that takes place in the US happens at Harvard, exclusively with federal funding. How cute.Lol
I'm sure you believe research will occur without funding.
How cute.
Nope. But the administration has drained funding from all universities. No researcher in their right mind would start a study in the US when they know the funding might be pulled tomorrow. And businesses are also seeking other countries for less riskI’m sure you think the only research that takes place in the US happens at Harvard, exclusively with federal funding. How cute.
Oh look, an instant gratification declaring victory. So no identified research projects. Got it.
Thanks for confirming you can’t identify any Harvard research projects that have been shipped to Canada and China.Nope. But the administration has drained funding from all universities. This administration has been the enemy of technology and development (and the economy) The leader rolls out of bed in a bad mood and takes action against someone he doesn't like.
Canada and China and other countries have rolled out the money and the welcome Matt.
You're welcome. Thanks for confirming you can’t identify any Harvard research projects that have been shipped to Canada and China.
Oh look. Another one who can’t identify any Harvard research projects that have shipped to Canada and China. At least you had sense enough to not make such an unsubstantiated claim. And nice job deflecting from Harvard to tariffs. lol.Oh look, an instant gratification declaring victory.
Not unlike Trump's delusion that this poorly considered tariffs will magically result in cars rolling off American assembly lines the next week.
News flash, sparky: Professional research isn't something you can pick up and move to a different country in one day, week or even month. It takes time and effort to re-establish a base in another country (or more likely, a different American university).
The fact that its way too early to identify specific projects is not the "win" you think it is.
Again, lack of immediate results as a result of abrupt policy decisions is not the flex you think it is.Oh look. I’m sure 1174 appreciates your support but he answered the question all by himself and I thanked him for it.Again, lack of immediate results as a result of abrupt policy decisions is not the flex you think it is.
Harvard can’t win this battle no matter what happens in court. They’ve already lost. They need a way of surrendering with some semblance of dignity and figuring out how to operate with little to no federal money. If they opt to continue fighting for the hearts and minds of the American people, Trump will welcome that fight all day long. It’s a political winner for the president.
Harvard is a private university that gets boatloads of public funding. Going fully private is an option they might be considering. Why do you support the Trump administration’s attempts to seize control of a private university?
Harvard's endowment is 50 billion-with-a-B dollars. Most of that is used to defer student tuition each year.Harvard is a private university that gets boatloads of public funding. Going fully private is an option they might be considering.
Correct. The university is not starving and massive amounts of private and public money is continuing to spent on research.Harvard's endowment is 50 billion-with-a-B dollars. Most of that is used to defer student tuition each year.
Petulant Trump has pulled 2.2 billion that was to have been spent over the next few years conducting research that the government wanted done. An addition 2.7 million-with-an-m was a grant from Homeland Security, pulled to help Kosplay Kristi Noem get her own government Learjet.
Also RFK Junkier's HHS had one billion-with-a-B dollars in research grants for medical research, which will instead be directed to firms that RFK has a financial interest in (primarily essential oils and healing stones).
It's not quite a "boatload", but it does show the lengths that assclowns like Trump (and by association, dull-witted numpties such as yourself) are willing to shoot yourself in the collective feet to "own teh libz".

What's the weather like down there?I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if one of BabyBoomer50s' children or grandchildren came down with (God forbid) some sort of rare form of cancer, he might not be so sanguine about Trump torpedoing cancer research in this country.

...or maybe he's just one of those rare few who feel people get cancer exclusively due to poor lifestyle choices....who knows?
