What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

Today I finally paid for the tickets and will be leaving for my vacation soon. I was incredibly looking forward to this vacation and had even started packing my bags. The first thing that is always on the list of things to take with me is a first aid kit, and with the help of Canada Pharmacy Partner I always manage to pack it correctly and with all the necessary medicines. So I'm sure my vacation will be safe and wonderful.

Long Brown Legs Season has arrived. 😀
What does this mean? Do I dare Google this? Are they spiders? Please don’t tell me they are spiders and that spider season makes you smile… 😲

My day has consisted of going to an art museum and doing some bird watching on the premises (and seeing one bird I’ve never seen before!), eating good food, having a beer and buying too many books. So there’s been literally nothing today that *hasn’t* made me smile.

It means that women are wearing shorts. Simple pleasures.

This screams for a picture.
It sounds more interesting than it is. I used the nail clippers and the nail file to cut a piece of the elastic in the shower cap and used that piece to tie together two loopy things in his shoe.

The spiders are also wearing shorts!
See, this is why I’m scared of your country!

Yeah, I do know that feeling.

That sounds kind of cute now that you mention it. So many leg holes in those tiny shorts!

Oh yes. Very relatable.

I had a cherry poppy seed ice cream yesterday and that very much made me smile, too. So good!
Now you made me think about how tardigrades would wear their pants again.

And that sounds like great ice cream! I love both cherry and poppy seed.

As for what made me smile and come here to post:
I don’t think we have to worry to much about the smartness of those social media algorithms that pick your ads.
I just got ads for participating in a 250km ultra run through the Namib desert.

I wondered the same about spiders. Would their front legs be arms or would they go into the shorts as well? Either way, lots of leg holes!

The ice cream was really good. I also had burnt honey ice cream during the trip and both of the flavors went straight into my personal ice cream top 10.

Oh the algorithms are so clever. Now they’ve planted the idea into your head as a funny haha type of thing, but soon you’ll find yourself thinking that maybe you should see if you can do a regular marathon, then an ultramarathon, and in no time you’re training for the dunes of Namib. Resist! Don’t let the machines win! 😁
I finished my home renovation project. Living room, dining room and guest toilet done.
That’s a big win! Good job on finishing!

I, on the other hand, have planned painting a wall for 3 years now and done absolutely nothing to get it actually done. Maybe within the next 3-8 years I’ll finally decide on the color and in the next 3-8 years after that get the wall painted.

This is the closest I’ve felt to being interested in running as something other than a way to hunt someone/something or getting away from being hunted:

It still didn’t quite do it, so I feel safe for now.

Yes, I keep looking at the dining room ceiling and thinking about tearing it down to expose the beams.
Then I think about the mess that will rain down on me and the fact that I will probably also expose things I will have to deal with.
I might get to it when no major shit is already raining down.

Team building day at work, which consisted of a historical walking tour of the city. Very interesting and fun. Good weather too, and after tour beer at a brewery.

Who wants to come for a visit? I’m practically a tour guide now. 😁

-Being able to help a friend who really needed it today.
-Movie tickets for tomorrow.
-Personal video game achievement unlocked.

Realizing my umbrella’s brand is ShadeMaster. Perfect!

Now I imagine a master throwing shade at me in a delightfully humiliating (and consensual) ways as I walk and it’s a delightful thought amidst the rain that apparently never ends.

Getting to pick a new book to read from my library pile and attaching the bookjig to it. I bought the bookjig in Görlitz last summer and it brings many happy memories to mind. Such a nice trip, such a nice bookstore where I bought it.
