❓ PLP Inquires II ❓

I can’t react to anyone’s posts for this one because I wanna love react the good words and sad react the negative ones.

Also… I can’t respond to this one 🤪
Oddly enough, of all the very personal questions I’ve responded to on here, this one feels too personal.
It did feel oddly personal but I love how much I learned about people's insight into themselves through it.

Learning From Mistakes (nope this definitely isn't about me regretting the whole M word thing)

Do you tend to actually learn lessons from your mistakes? If so, does it happen on the first go or does it take a few mistakes? Do you try to pass on lessons and save others from a mistake or do you just let people make their choices for themselves? Can you tell us a lesson you learned after making the mistake?

Sometimes it takes tremendous pain and suffering for me to finally learn. Usually its about habits, and resisting change, or complacency maybe. I fall into patterns of behavior and its hard to break those patterns.

When I was 21, I gave away a secret that was not mine to tell. As a consequence I lost my first love. I will never make that mistake again. I have no secrets, but the secrets of other people are kept safe, unlocked only by that person.

You can share you own personal experiences and the lessons you've learned all day long, but people who are young will never listen and those who've never lived through the lesson, will never understand.

I'm finally learning how to stop trying when the trying isnt wanted. Its taken making a lot of people hate me.

Descriptions, adjectives, aspirations. Words. They are even more important around here now than when I first wrote the idea for this question down!

Tell me three words that -

1. Other people would use to describe you
2. You wish more people would use to describe you
3. You secretly use to describe yourself
4. You are not but you wish you were
5. You are but you wish you weren't

Show me those big, sexy beautiful words!
1. Comforting, genuine, sweet
2. Sexy. Charming. Adequate
3. Loser, Ugly, Stupid (many more but that's 3)
4. Healthy. Whole. Sane.
5. Dark. Overwhelming. Broken.

6. Melancholia

Tell me three words that -

1. Other people would use to describe you
Smartass, patient, kind
2. You wish more people would use to describe you
Sexy, desired, lovable. The funny part being I wouldn't believe them.
3. You secretly use to describe yourself
Old, boring, almost
4. You are not but you wish you were
Brilliant - I can be clever at times, but I would love to be brilliant at least once.
Wise
Talented
5. You are but you wish you weren't
Procrastinator, insecure, lonely.

That was harder than I thought it would be.

With all the recent online changes, let’s talk change in general -

How do you handle change? Do you think about its approach or does it often seem to sneak up on you? Do you mourn the loss of the comfortable? Do you find silver linings in the new? Does it take a transition period? Are you able to stay present easily when changes are on the horizon?

Can you think of changes that you fretted over that ended up for the best? What about things that you wish would stay the same forever? Is there a big change that is impending that you think about often? A change you wish you could make now?
