It's either an affectionate term for someone who is outdated or uncool (slang) i.e. someone can be a dag or daggy. Or it's real meaning is a matted piece of wool that's mixed with shit that hangs off the back of a sheep.

Those are Arnott's Scotch Finger biscuits. Here in Australia they are usually eaten by grandparents as they are the least sweet biscuit. Most dunk it into their tea then eat it before it loses it's structural integrity and falls in. Which is a tragedy.
