Radical Islam and traditional Sharia law are fundamentally incompatible with American society and its constitutional framework. Unlike peaceful religious practice protected by the First Amendment, radical Islam is a political-religious ideology that seeks to impose authoritarian theocracy, often through violence or coercion. Its legal counterpart, Sharia law in its strict form, rejects the separation of church and state, denies equal rights to women and religious minorities, and criminalizes basic freedoms such as speech, dissent, and religious conversion. These principles directly contradict the U.S. Constitution’s guarantees of liberty, individual rights, and the rule of secular law. While America welcomes religious freedom, it cannot accommodate ideologies that openly seek to dismantle or override the legal and cultural foundation of that freedom. In short it's subversive to our constitutional order. So this thread is just a other one of your bitch threads about Islam disguised as something different?
Shocker
Yes, you've had multiple threads about your disgust of the Islam religion and think it's important enough to create another thread on the topicRadical Islam and traditional Sharia law are fundamentally incompatible with American society and its constitutional framework. We all know, of course, that the whole Eurabia thing is stupid dishonest racist nonsense, and that the U.S. does not even face that level of non-threat.Radical Islam and traditional Sharia law are fundamentally incompatible with American society and its constitutional framework. You're talking in 1950s Red Scare terms -- about the evil alien Other trying to infiltrate and destroy our society. Reflect carefully that that was all nonsense at the time -- and functionally indistinguishable from 19th Century CTs about the Catholic Church, and still older CTs about the Freemasons and about the British.Radical Islam and traditional Sharia law are fundamentally incompatible with American society and its constitutional framework. I guess you haven’t seen the videos in DearbornYou're a born liar. It's all you do.
Well, we can't in fairness hold the previous regime's actions against the new one.Trump is lifting sanctions on the regime in Syria, which was an open supporter of Al-Qaida. All in hope of them building a Trump Tower hotel on their prime desert real estate.
It's the old opposition to Al-Assad, now the government who supported Al-Qaida. Turns out there are few nice people in Syria.Well, we can't in fairness hold the previous regime's actions against the new one.
I guess you haven’t seen the videos in Dearborn
They are definitely the enemy
My concern is "radical" Islam and its adherence to Sharia Law. However, you are free to jump in and defend the abomination with all of your leftist being.Yes, you've had multiple threads about your disgust of the Islam religion and think it's important enough to create another thread on the topic

Which will never exist here no matter how many Muslim immigrants come.My concern is "radical" Islam and its adherence to Sharia Law.

There is damn sure an effort being made. There is no Christian theocracy in America.
Theocracies are radical. Sharia law as a form of theocracy is not compatible with democracy. I don't intend on defending religion of any kind except that people are free to practice their own regardless of the religion. My concern is "radical" Islam and its adherence to Sharia Law. I never said there was. There is no Christian theocracy in America.

Excellent horseshit revisionism! The guy who came up with idea (American Muslim) was barnstorming the Gulf raising money by promising it would be Sharia -compliant and would be a foothold for the Muslim Brotherhood. He has tons of YouTube videos where he meets with financiers and influencers and brags about bribing local officials and hiring the best lawyers in Texas. They treated him like Saladin. Thankfully, Austin was not bought and once they uncover the corruption behind this business, he and his cohorts will find many Muslim friends in Texas jails.
TL/DR.Excellent horseshit revisionism!
Back here in the "real world" though, things are different.
The rightwing in Texas has never hid its animosity towards non-whites and non-Christians. Bashing the dastardly Muslims has always been popular with the MAGA upper government echelon: Hate Sells!
So the Muslim community opted to purchase and develop their own master-planned community, giving the fringe right fresh meet for the grinder. The troika of Governor Greg "Hot Wheels Hitler" Abbott, Lt Governor (and former fringe radio host) Dan Patrick, and Christian Nationalist attorney general Ken Paxson are having a field day sniping at the Muslims.
One of the main issues is that the new city has been planned like a moderately large city in the Middle East, with a large mosque at the center of town. This gives mouthbreathers in Texas the vapors. They cannot prohibit it via zoning statutes, because there are non motherfucking zoning laws in Texas, because freeeeeeedom.
The right is forced to make up lies and innuendo about Muslims (calling AIPAC and the militant "StopAntisemitism" goobers!). as the investors in Epic City were meticulous in scrupulously adhering to Texas law. One edge of the city is a rather large cemetery for Muslim burials only (burial grounds may discriminate by faith, ask any Catholic). They were cited for a municipal infraction because many Muslims opt to be buried without embalming (just like the Jews!) and evidently you need a separate license for unembalmed burials and they only had the "standard" license. This, of course, was presented as prima facie evidence that they were plannin' on implementing Sharia law in Texas.
The Muslims simply want to live in peace, as far away from "Christian neighborly love" as possible.
How messed up are you to pull up a 100+ year old Catholic experimental town as if the Pope was burning Protestants and Muslims in an auto da fe? Muslims try to create Shariahtown and you harken back to a failed 19th century village of Germans and Irish? This is no enemy within. It is no more threatening than San Antonio, Florida, which was founded as a Catholic colony.
