Snuggle up. I gotta random Lil Monday question.

What's something you don't exactly believe in but that you wish was true?

I've reading up on Lucid Dreaming. 😬
I do a lot of Lucid Dreaming, often enough, and clear enough that it has lead to many stories being written as soon as I get up

Isekai...definitely Isekai
for those who don't know, it's a Genre of Anime where you die and get sent, most of the time, at your current age to another realm in order to defeat some BBEG

What is lucid dreaming exactly? Is it being aware that you're in a dream and having some control of what happens?

I could Google I suppose but I much prefer learning by asking questions

So from what I've read there is an aspect of getting to control your dreams and interact with them more purposely. I've also (and this is where I don't believe but want to) heard about people meeting other real people in their dreams together and shaping a world for them to meet in every time. I've heard a very cool story that maybe I audio record tomorrow to tell. It's way too much to type.

I hit a half state, I'm not awake, but, I am not asleep either, but, I am still in that dream state. If I am dreaming in a 3rd person view, I can manipulate the dream events, if I am in a 1st person view, I can not, and I am just along for the ride.

3rd person view tends to be what gets written into a story.

1st person view however are very dependent on my mental health. A couple of days ago, I was having a bad mental health day, when I hit that lucid state, I was back to when the car accident busted me up pretty bad, in the dream, instead of staying with friends until I could get back onto my feet, I moved in with my estranged father and his new wife, who was the one and only Ex I have absolutely no desire to ever see again in my life. After I finally managed to wake myself up from the dream, I ended up not being able to go back to sleep until the following day. It was miserable because I kept flashing back to all the shitty things in the dream.

Typical Rosie - asks a question then falls asleep..

Ok I like the idea of meeting someone in my dreams and creating a shared space for us. And I love listening to you talk @PrettyLilPussy19 so if you do get a chance and want to share that story I'm all ears ā˜ŗļø

And @inkandiridiumnibs I've had similar dream experiences. When my anxiety is high I dream about a pretty terrible time in my life and it can be hard to get back to the here and now after waking.

I can sometimes revist old dreams like a Choose Your Own Adventure. I've had weeks of the same dream where I try different outcomes. I can fully wake up in the night and go back to where I left off too
