Loving Wives the category well known for featuring hot steamy affairs to suspense filled BTB stories. But there is this one thing that makes this category stand out.

And that is its comments, every story featuring a cheating wife gets destroyed in the comments, from hating on the author to the wife in the story, no one escapes the curse.

As a dude I'll say it's because of underlying fear of getting cheated on, sometimes victims of cheating gets triggered and one more thing is that this word called cold male insecurity (don't what it clearly means), I think it plays an important role?

But in the end people hates cheating wives.......... and husbands.

Anything to add?

Posting in LW, can be a lot of fun. Especially, if you've created a good premise...
Yeah OK, regardless of the quality, if it triggers the angry ones that live to read the category... Look out...
The comments will be cold. The score is destined to dine in hell...
Never mind, if you enjoyed it, then so be it...
I have posted a couple of stories in the category, and all have been roasted by the readers...
Enjoy it for itself...

There are times when I want to write a LW story to see if i can craft something that gets an H, but I don’t think I could come up with something I’d enjoy writing that would please that audience. Maybe someday.

I’ve been toying with doing a story based in the Eagle’s song Lyin’ Eyes that I could put in LW.

That sounds like an interesting challenge. I already get occasional nasty comments about being too nice to my female characters, and I am posting mostly in E&V, with some Group Sex and Erotic Couplings, which I understand to be relatively tame genres here. I would need to hone my craft and develop thicker skin before trying that.

As I mentioned in a different thread I wrote a Loving Wives story about a pastor who on a slow day picked up a pretty black woman at a farmers market and took her to his home for an afternoon of sex. In the end it turned out that they were married all along and having some fun. They weren't pretending to be someone else, they were playing like what would their meeting be like in a different situation. I got a few haters but I got a lot of nice comments and a great big Red H. Loving Wives doesn't have to be cheating, and I wish more authors would feature LW stories of big hearted wives who chose to stay home.

I wouldn't advise writing to Loving Wives if you're looking for a Red-H.

The audience there is polarized into two major factions:
--Those who LOVE "extra-marital sex, swinging, sharing, and more", and
--Those who LOVE monogamous marriages while HATING any and all extra-marital sex whose willing participants should burn in hell.

Trying to get both of those factions to LOVE your story is a challenge I've worked at for the past four years. The closest I've come lately is with "The Real Gift: Her Fantasy" rated at 4.16, in which the husband sets up the scenario where his wife gets to have two guys while he sits back to watch with a glass of scotch to enjoy her show (an idea she got while they watched a hotwife porn video.) It was written for Valentine's Day, and in the story end, the wife "gifts" her husband the young girl, Candy for the rest of the evening.

It still received its share of haters with comments like "Just another sicko person with the illusion of being an erotic author. In reality just another pile of fecal material."

But the story received over 37k views and 277 votes!

I definitely get the closeted cuck vibe from lots of my angry reviewers, i miss the times when they’d call me a slut for writing such “smut”, now they attack my writing and wish death on fictional characters.. but it does feel a bit like people bagging on trans people while finding out they’re heavy into trans porn.. they get off to it but get hella defensive afterward

The difficulty of the challenge is what makes it fun. Go for it.

I passionately love your first premise but at the same time I despise your second premise and the black heart that spawned it. Where do I fall?

My description of the second set of LW readers,"

"--Those who LOVE monogamous marriages while HATING any and all extra-marital sex whose willing participants should burn in hell,"

... is a nod to the "Burn the Bitch" crowd, who rate stories based on the revenge and level of pain inflicted on the cheater.

IMO, they DO have black hearts. But I recognize that they exist.

No, you lumped everyone who disagrees with you in one fanatical group THEN you go and protest your innocence. There's an entire spectrum of readers out there and a real writer would recognize that. And you ignored my question completely. How convenient.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question.

I did not intend to imply that you fell into that second category.

I was trying to clarify that negative extreme which you seemed to disagree with.

But I do fall into that second category because I disagree with those who LOVE "extra-marital sex, swinging, sharing, and more" You lumped me in the "Burn The Bitch" category the only other option you gave, leaving me with a black heart.

Thanks buddy. Back atcha.

My, you're touchy.

Those are the EXTREMES, and YES, there are even those who LOVE "extra-marital sex, swinging, sharing, and more", but who dislike some/many types of extra-marital sex! Do they LOVE extra-marital sex when the one spouse is cheating? Some do, some don't. But IMO, those who lean toward that end of the spectrum don't HATE monogamy.

But IMO, those at the other extreme of the spectrum LOVE monogamy-only and HATE any and every example of extra-marital sex.

I don't "fall" into either end of the spectrum. I merely tried to simplify the polar extremes of those in LW who choose to rate stories with 1's versus 5's. Those who LOVE them don't necessarily HATE anything. But those who HATE will always HATE.

Choose where do you want to "fall".

I enjoy reading both genres, as it helps me understand different aspects of human perspectives. 😊

I would love to read through some of your works. Please share them with me if possible.

@Medhaa All I have published thus far is my Friends series (unrelated to the tv show). It starts with The Final Bet which is much shorter and shallower than the rest of the series. I expect to post the finale early next week.

I dipped my toe into LW and I'll never do it again. I have a story ready to go, with my usual rug-pull ending (quite different from my existing LW story). In this, and the published one, the husband is willing, happy, and totally into it. He's not being punished, nor is his wife evil. I think the genre is kinda toxic, but I've learned my lesson.

The first story I posted to LW got twelve votes of "1" faster than anybody could read the first paragraph, and forty one-bombs the first day.

Three years later the score is 4.3, so it's obviously not a terrible story.

Post in LW if you want, but be aware 98 percent of the trolls hang out there.
