Trump Orders NPR and PBS Shutdown

Your hate is so ingrained in you for anything DJT that you resort to lies.
Uh, no, not lies, but simply having the gall to talk about Trump's actions, which is what PBS and NPR were doing (for example, PBS News Hour and Frontline). He's going after other media outlets, also.

MAGAts define "lies" as talking about Trump's actions. If there's one thing Hitler and Putin taught Trump, it's that you must not allow anyone to report about the dictator's actions.

Now get back to your daily brainwashing sessions. You're in way over your head on this thread.

Your hate is so ingrained in you for anything DJT that you resort to lies. Lies that are so obvious that one can only believe you have taken leave of your sanity. As pointed out, no one is closing PBS etc down.

Further, to say that "saving" a mere "few million" is meaningless. Its a start and it all adds up.
The felon's birthday party will cost us more than it costs to keep those networks alive.

You’ve got a rough road ahead. First they cut funding for your public broadcasting, next they’ll come after your free hormone treatments.
Right after Obama takes your penis substitutes.

You keep trying to insult my manhood. It's not going well for you.

FRom the President's order:

"Today the media landscape is filled with abundant, diverse, and innovative news options. Government funding of news media in this environment is not only outdated and unnecessary but corrosive to the appearance of journalistic independence,"

Yes, it's time for the American Pravda to shut down.

Now cutting off all funding to PBS and NPR.

"Which viewpoints NPR and PBS promote does not matter," the executive order says. "What does matter is that neither entity presents a fair, accurate or unbiased portrayal of current events to tax-paying citizens."
Which is a lie. You can get a more accurate and unbiased portrayal of current events on NPR than on any commercial network!

Haven't you been fooled by his words enough to know that there will never be any action? Like the wall and healthcare.

The Russian invasion.
Ending the Israeli genocide.
Bringing groceries down.
Deporting more illegals than any other president.

I could go on.

And on.

Yes, it's time for the American Pravda to shut down.
Nahhh. Trump is just mad because, unlike.Putin, he can't control what takes place on PBS and NPR.

And by the way, you're still an idiotic propaganda tool yourself.

PBS's aging yuppie demographic is dying off. If it hangs on long enough to survive internet collapse, then it could be one of a few TV networks, as it was before the internet. But corporate media will also die off, and then the surviving stations might survive for a while with new business models. One possibility is local collective or community ownership, like what the Green Bay Packers have now.

Technological change doesn't matter -- there will always be room, and demand, for non-commercial public media in some form.

Maybe it was -- but their reverence for the truth was always there, and that has not changed under Maher's administration.

Trump’s Base Remains Rock Solid in Latest Emerson Survey Despite Fake News Attempts to Preach Otherwise

Trump has 94% loyalty of the party!

Hey folks, guess what popped up on April 30? A fresh national poll from Emerson College showing that Trump’s 2024 fan club is
well, still his fan club. In fact, 94% of people who voted for him last time said they’d do it all over again—because why rock the boat when you’re already floating? Meanwhile, a solid 93% of Kamala Harris voters wouldn’t dream of switching teams either.

Now, if you’re into fantasy matchups, this poll gives Trump a razor-thin 48% to Harris’s 47%—which is basically as close as my attempts at dieting versus pizza. Media narratives about buyer’s remorse? Looks like someone forgot to read the fine print.

Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, put it bluntly: “Despite several unpopular domestic and foreign policies, President Trump still holds an entrenched base of voters who, if given the chance, say they would vote for him again,” and honestly, that sums it up.

On the job-approval front, Trump sits at 45% approval, 45% disapproval, and a neutral 10%—like those people who watch reality TV but refuse to admit it. The electorate is split down the middle with barely any wiggle room since November 2024.
