You are going to need a massive dataset to answer this, and I don't even think it's answerable, even subjectively.
Might give you better results if you ask guys if they fuck assholes fast or slow. Then get how long they can fuck before they cream pie.
Fast is (by my estimation) reasonably 112 thrusts per minute. Slow is 60 thrusts per minute. You can do a weighted average to sort out overall average speed. Then when respondents cite their usual fuck duration, just do the math from there.

Thank you. Since it's for a story, I'm not looking for scientific precision. I'm trying to get a feel for how many thrusts are reasonable before a person would have to take a break and at about what point they'd ejaculate. I'm using the Fibonacci sequence to let each man have a given number of thrusts before making way for the next one.
The next term in the sequence is the sum of the two previous. So, the first few numbers would be:
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, etc.
In my own quite limited (almost nonexistent) experience, I was considering going up to 89 and cycling back down. Based on your analysis, I should probably kick that up. I'm also considering making the receiver count the strokes (remember, it's a story and there's a method to my madness). In the story, the thrusts would be slower and more measured, as it's an initiation of sorts (think "Thank you, Sir, may I have another?")

I think both the challenge and the opportunity in your premise is that there's not an optimal number of thrusts at any speed before cumming. Would we agree psychology is the more prominent factor? Psychology is definitely a factor in this story. The characters are all mature (50s and up) and have some interesting quirks. They're nerdy enough to find a sequence based sexual initiation to be intellectually as well as physically stimulating. Spoiler alert: the reason for this is that the main character (Soma/Galatea) gave two of them blow jobs using the Fibonacci sequence to time his/her licks (and, yes, that's the sort of thing I would do).
I'm trying to make the characters quirky but also realistic. The underlying theme of the series (and of a lot of my writing) is the nature of gender identity. My underlying premise: the main character's inner feminine is emerging to the point that she (and her Masters) are moving toward identifying her as "she." Soma's transformation to Galatea is almost entirely psychological rather than physical. For various reasons, she will never be "passable" and, while her attire will change, she won't go the full wardrobe/makeup route. The question I try to explore is: how far can a person be viewed and treated as they know they are inside without having to transform physically in the world as it exists today, not in some fantasy?
Is that 40 to 100 thrusts total or per minute? I'm trending toward a lower number of more deliberate thrusts due to the age of my characters, but I don't want to stereotype that.

I appreciate the wide range in real life and the temptation to pull a number out of my hat (or somewhere else). However, one of my quirks is a need to make my stories, however far fetched, adjacent enough to reality that the reader will say, "Hmm...maybe that could happen." Hence, my challenge: the sequence in question fits the story and appeals to my own nerdiness. The problem is that it grows quickly, and I don't want to have a 60 year old man merrily pumping away 500 times if that's not even remotely achievable. I know it's a bit peculiar, but it's one of those things that's important to me in a story.
I dream that, one day, I may be able to arrange a real world experiment.
