🏡PLP's Bazaar of the Bizarre: A Study Hall for the Deviant and Delightful

After a month (and most of today) of taking care of other people, I've tried to figure put what a little self care means for me today. I took one of those good good baths where you extra scrub and shave everything and lotion myself up. I did my nails and put lots of lotions and potions and potions on my face. I made my first mojito and I'm about to sit down with my friends to roll some dice. Am I self-caring right? How do you self care? Does it ever feel hard to do?

Spa like treatments, quality time with friends, and a game you love? That is definitely doing pampering right 💕

You are self-caring wonderfully. 🌹

Well done for taking a moment to focus on you. That's super important I think.

Self care can absolutely be a pamper session and time with friends or maybe it can be working towards a long term goal - like you going back to school. Or making a plan for a holiday or something.

I am not great at the "small moments for me" types of self care. I end up feeling guilty that I'm not doing something else. It's almost like I need someone to give me permission to do it (subby brain much!)
I'm trying to do long term things instead like focus on my health - physical and mental, and make improvements in my home that could also benefit my son. Removes the guilt factor haha that I really need to get over. Like I am desperate for a new tattoo but can I spare the time and can I really afford something like that just for me?

Exactly this.
I know it's important to do but I'm usually made much happier by doing something for someone else or working towards a goal, even if it's reorganizing the fridge. I know there's got to be better ways. But me taking care of me feels weirdly lonely. I'm a little weirdo - don't judge! 😋
