Seriously this site needs some hot, spicy mediaeval stories.

Knights, queens, kings, peasants, lords, bandists, nuns and more....

Actually a good idea. As a European I have a fair idea what live might have been like in medieval times. The American equivalent would then be the Wild-West?

Maybe some 'Going to Jerusalem' stories. It was common for ordinary folks to visit the relics of saints in cathedrals. Rather than being religious celebrations, they were bawdy public festivals. Girls who returned pregnant from such trips were said to have 'gone to Jerusalem'. Might be 'fertile' ground for a ribald medieval story.

Yeah wild west for the American eroticas, cuz I don't think we can write hot smut based on native Americans (It could work but RESEARCH), and mediaeval kingdom style stuff for Europe.

If anybody doing it, please keep it hot and spicy with humans, tired of the monsters, elves, anime, and complicated shit. Why can't we just jerk of to some hot written sex!

Ribald tales based on European stuff like De cameron and Canterbury Tales would work. But gotta keep it really naughty, sexy, hot, spicy, booom boom bang bang, ahhhhh, oh no yeah, shut up you wench. PUT YOUR FLUTE IN MY HONEY POT!!!! (Reference to my story "UNDER THE CASTLE btw)

Not touching Jerusalem

Ive always had the idea for a woman living out west who dresses like a man, tries to be one, is tough and rough, meeting a soft, new to the area, feminine and modest woman fresh from the east coast.
Good for building a literary portfolio, but I personally can't jerk of to that 😭 😔

🤔I have had an idea kicking around in my head that just won't flesh itself out for me. Maybe you can do something with it? It's about a woman who flees to a logging camp looking for safety and work. But they don't need any works (at least not for the jobs she could do). They already have a cook, with a couple of assistance, and a couple of people who's sole job is to tidy up. But the thing is, is they're all men. So the foreman offers her the position of comfort woman, who will have one day a week where the men are not allowed to make advances on her, and where she is allowed to say no to anyone, but! she gets paid per man she comforts, excepting that one day a week. In my head it was always set sometime in America sometime between 1600 and the late 1800s. I've also occasionally flirted with the idea of it being a smaller group of fur trappers.

Maybe some of the early settlements in 1600s were not as religious and strict as the history books tell us. And the eatly settlements required trade with the natives to survive. Maybe they also traded other services....

I got like more than 20+ story ideas and drafts set in the mediaeval times, the only thing that is holding me back is my English and grammar 😔

If you can find a proofreader or editor who will explain what needs changing and why, writing is an excellent way to work on those.

Presently writing a dark fantasy Non-Con scifi/fantasy series called "Darkest Dawn". I also have a trilogy inspired by Goblin Cave set in an Ogre's den.

I'm not comfortable with collaborations, even in my personal life I do everything myself. So learning everyday.

You know what, I'm actually afraid that these proofreading mfs we hire steal our stories and post it as theirs. If that happens how the fuck are we supposed get it back, WE CAN'T FILE A COMPLAINT RIGHT?

If it ever happens, all it will take is one note to Laurel to sort it out. And whoever stole your story would get a ban.

But the thing is, I really doubt anyone's going to steal your story that way. If they wanted to steal a story, they'd just wait for it to be published, then copy it and post it on another site. That kind of thing happens all the time. It's happened to me, even with stories being sold on Amazon.

Nobody's going to do all the work of volunteer editing - and editing is hard, hard work - in the hopes of one day finding a story that's so good it's worth stealing.

Not only that, most writers and editors have very particular ideas about what makes a good story. Most of us have so many ideas that we have no time to consider anyone else's. And no matter how amazing you think your story is, if you're publishing it for free on an online erotica site the chances are it's not a Nobel Prize winner, it's not going to launch the thief into fame and riches.

Honestly would love to read a story about some public stockades,
female criminals stripped naked with their head and hands in the stockade, their bodies free for anyone to use for however long their punishment is.

Beavers?

Well, an editor or proofreader wouldn't necessarily have to be a collaboration, especially if you use Google docs, I believe there are settings in that were you can share a document and they can't actually make any changes just suggest alterations. But if you really want to do it completely solo then the best way to learn is to study and practice. Look up guides on grammar and punctuation, look up the words you need, write the story, and write another.

Also, I don't think you have to worry about an editor or proofreader stealing your story, and even if they did you can file a complaint.

Most of my fantasy stories are fairly low-magic. A few demons here and there, but who doesn't like a good sex demon?

But I have three stories in a series called Loving Lily about a farm girl and her friends in an unspecified "ye olden times" setting. No magic, no monsters. Just people having sex one spring day.

Might want to look at the mabinogion. Not intentionally erotic but contains enough material that wouldn't get past Laura. A 12-13th century book that brings together tales that go back much further and gives you a good insight into the medieval mind

It's certainly something I've thought about. I'm a massive medievalist so the appeal is there, and I've had ideas to write about a womanising medieval king. There's so many angles to take with it - kings and duchesses, ladies-in-waiting, maids, even dowager queen stepmothers. Dynasticism was the order of the day, so a king using sex to get what he wants (or vice versa, a powerful woman) wiuld be interesting.

But alas I have little time to write erotica at the moment and other story ideas have taken precedence.
