It's an interesting idea. The Funeral Crier
He is a professional mourner,* resembling Placido Domingo, with cries just as dramatic as the opera star's singing. He features an oversized handkerchief.
What no one suspects, except a network of widows, is that his service includes servicing the widow...

Maybe he's a con man. He sees a obituary, and does a little research on the deceased and then goes to the funeral. He explains to the widow that her husband was a mentor to him. A father figure really and will miss him deeply. He explains that they worked together many years ago and has been successful since.
The widows feels he's a kindred spirit and she calls the handsome man after a few weeks. They meet for coffee and they share anecdotes about her husband, but the man is very smart and avoids any detail that she would know is BS. After a few meetings, he finally admits that the one thing he'd been unable to accomplish is to find a beautiful, loving wife like her and had always been secretly jealous of the deceased because of it.
What his actual motivations are, I'm not certain of, besides the seduction.
