I’m pretty open to chatting with people wherever. I prefer not to give out my number or address until I know people well.

On Telegram you can also use handles and hide your number, makes it very safe & private.

Signal is good. Secure (if you aren't a dumbass inviting others in), removes geotags, can allow or not allow screenshots and image downloads. Data kept only on the phone, encrypted in transit.. Am I paranoid? Probably. Should I be? Probably.
