Ordinarily, there's no risk. BUT that's under lab conditions, not real world conditions where people have conductive substances on their skin. Substances which allow electrical current to flow through the body.

But, you do you and keep on saying there's no risk. Meanwhile I'll keep telling people not to bridge across electrical terminals. Because safety.

Bullshit, Ohms law proves it. Ohm's law is fact, there is zero doubt or refutation of the Law. Maybe go read it and try and understand.

Ordinarily, that's true.

BUT, in the real world things happen that can create an electrical circuit. You refusing to acknowledge that only shows you're more focused on proving yourself right than being safe.

NEVER EVER bridge across electrical terminals with your body parts. Not even if the circuit is de-energized or otherwise considered "safe" by those who profess to be experts but who disregard safety protocols when they say it.

Ohms law doesn't take into account sweat on your skin, or lotion, or oil/grease. ANY of those things will create a circuit even with only 12v DC. And with 700-850 amps in that circuit, you're fried to crispy critter doneness in a millisecond.

Basically, you're stuck on thinking that a lab and theory is the real world. It's not. NEVER EVER bridge an electrical circuit with your body parts even if it's de-energized or some dingus on the internet tells you it's safe because it's only 12v DC and "Ohms Law" says it can't hurt you.

Those who are watching/reading this can either believe me, who advocates for safety, or some blowhard klown on the internet like you telling everyone it's perfectly safe to risk your life by playing with electricity.

What needs to happen is that Congress needs to end these emergencies that don't even exist. . They also need to reign in tariffs power and assert.proper oversight.

But instead, we have a GOP who wants.to cower to a man. A.congress that consistently shows that it is fine with an authoritarian dictator. We have a judicial who wants to be the adult in the room without any support at all from Congress.

Autocracies aren't good,regardless of who is in office.
 
Exporting American citizen criminals to foreign prisons would appear to be a blatant violation of the 8th Amendement to the Constitution's strict prohibition against "cruel and unusual punishment".

One thing I've noticed is that the administrator has stopped talking about Gitmo and instead have focused on El.Salvador.

Both do the same thing......removes people from any rights guaranteed for human beings within the country. El.Salvador actually washes the government's hands for having any "ability" to do anything.....

Ohms law takes the resistance of the whole circuit into account. You'll see various estimates for the resistance of a body, ranging from 10k to 100k ohms for a dry person down to 1k for someone who's very wet. Going with your person who's completely drenched for some reason:

V / R = I

12 / 1000 = 12mA

That isn't going to hurt you. Something with high conductivity will pass much more current which is why you'll likely melt a spanner if you drop it across the terminals. It takes surprisingly little current to kill someone, 100mA can be enough, but it takes a lot more than that to fry them to a crisp.
