I agree. I am glad you returned. I am sorry you were subject of a troll.
So well said. I am anticipating such a day. Thank you!
Please be careful with them! You can cut deeply before you even realize you've done so.From now on I am wearing a knife glove even when changing blade height which what I was doing when I cut myself
I caught Lili! Please be careful with them! You can cut deeply before you even realize you've done so.![]()
Where were you, W? In the middle of the mosh pit?Very crazy day.
But we bought tickets for a hardcore show in Jersey city. Agnostic Front and Murphy’s Law. My daughter was actually supposed to go too but bailed at the last minute.
Lots of moshing and lots of circle pit action and singing along. It was like 1985 all over again!
Mmmmm! DM me, G, and perhaps I will!Really Lili ….. do educate a simple English Gentleman!
Enjoy !Good morning or evening according to your time zone. I am just sitting having breakfast with my mum. Then it’s an eight hour drive to N Devon to see my grandchildren for a few days. I will pop by the Bar when I can but they are my priority when I get there.
Take care everyone!
Lots of good information here for RJ, Noor. I'm so sorry you're in chronic pain.Im sorry to read this. I’m on a lot of meds and the only pain meds I can take are hydromorphone and fentanyl. Toradol, a strong nsaid, anlso can help. After surgery I had tons of hydromorphone, like 2 pills every 4 hrs for weeks. As the pain lessened, I gradually tapered down and stopped without trying to.
I only have had fentanyl in medical settings. It’s also the only time I’m not in any pain, so I totally get its appeal psychologically but I can’t stand on fentanyl.bits also physically addictive esp if you’ve had previous addictions to alcohol, cigarettes or other meds.
I totally get her worry. Is there a medical facility where she can go and get fentanyl rather than take at home.
If you’ve got fentanyl at home, it would be good to have narcan handy just in case.
For myself, the pain seems to eat the meds and I can get by with less if I take then when the pain starts to rise.
Fentanyl was designed for unrelenting intractable pain, and in the case of a dying friend, we didn’t care if she became addicted, and she didn’t, but if she had she was in no position to do much with it.
At this point, I take Celebrex and low dose naltrexone ( ldn) LDN blocks the opiate receptors several hours a day and had pretty much gotten rid of my bone pain. On ldn I can’t take opiates as they won’t work so if I need them, I have to go off ldn.
You might investigate ldn. I can send links to studies if that helps.
I hope she feels better soon,
Hey, FS! Where have you been? I hope you're well.I miss snow.
I know.
Enjoy your grands, G! Nothing better than those little arms around your neck!Good morning or evening according to your time zone. I am just sitting having breakfast with my mum. Then it’s an eight hour drive to N Devon to see my grandchildren for a few days. I will pop by the Bar when I can but they are my priority when I get there.
Take care everyone!
I'm very sorry, B2. It's so much harder for families to watch their loved ones suffer. My father died from sepsis which was a complication from GI surgery. It was painful to watch him slowly pass.
We all had fun... he's still jerking,I agree. I am glad you returned. I am sorry you were subject of a troll.
Thanks. I did bring feathers.I'm very sorry, B2. It's so much harder for families to watch their loved ones suffer.
And, what are you doing up so early on a Sunday morning? Did you bring the feathers?![]()
Have a safe trip, and again our condolencesGood morning all. I log in a little later than normal to find I've missed all the fun!
My attendance will be sporadic over the next week as I am returning to the UK for Mum's funeral. Play nicely and see you on the other side. I will endeavour to pop in when I can with the occasional 'bon mot' here and there.
Never underestimate the power of firm persistence! My friend has a pic line and both times were touch and go. No hospital would accept her either times because she a rare disease patient and we literally had to force them to. The first time we had to call in the state. I said good bye to her both times, but we persevered and she survived.
This is something I did not know! Thanks, B2!I recall uptake of mercury requires methylation by bacteria. There was a release of mercury into St. Clair River and methylation occurred resulting in banning of fish consumption from the River.
I did not know Byron. I've only been here about 1.5 years. So ByronYou probably didn’t know him, he was from the beginning until he died 10 yrs ago, he was interesting…
I’m a bit biased about him though
I've never kept any that long. So far! My truck is a 2009 with only about 15K miles on it. It was my husband's.They tend to get issues around 22 yrs!
